“Excellent!”

This hotel was an excellent choice. It is situated quite far from beach (20-25 km to the nearest beach), but because of that you can enjoy a quiet atmoshere and see Mallorcian people´s life. And the car is needed anyway, if you want to discover Mallorca´s nicest places.

The hotel is stunning finca with big rooms (really big bathoroom), excellent services, nice exterior with a pool, where is possible to swim, they also offer many sports activities for free..yoga, aqua fitness, tennis and table tennis...also free bike rentals ....easily bike to beach Es Trenc (25 km far).

I higly reccomend the food here ..breakfast are quite broand and tasty and the food from Card Menu in Hotel restaurant is worth it. Try Lobster Paella or stakes!!!

Thank you to all stuff for having an amazing vacation!

The hotel is very nice, it's far away from the all-inclusive area's. The road to the facility might give you the impression you entered the outskirts of Palma, but in fact it hides a small oase in the countryside. However, behind the beautiful facade and very nice reception (with a glass of juice) and the lush breakfast there is some room for improvement.

Our room, when entering, had a ants-nest left and right to the entrancedoor. Sure, these things happen especially in rural-area's but if I can see it, why can't the maid or maintenance staff see it and do something about it? Fortunately we were offered a new room promptly when we complained about it. Further: the airconditioning was basically non-functioning, don't expect anything more then just some air-circulation. This was the case in both rooms. Also, both rooms suffered a lack of proper mainenance: the shower-curtain was torn and one lamp almost fell of the wall.

But after all, it's a very pleasant hotel. If offers various wellness services (yoga classes, massages, etc) and has a great pool with sunbeds around it. Some advice to the staff: please ask your gardener not to use the very noisy mowing equipment during breakfast. I know it has to happen sometime, but especially during breakfast people just got out of bed and the noisy can be very irritating.

Room Tip: Try to avoid room number 7, as it's private terrace is a bit hidden behind a fence that shields...

We have just come back from Majorca and spent 3 days at Sa Bassa Rotja. From start to finish it was a really special place.

You need a car to get to it, as the farm house is inland and in the country side (25 mins by car to Cala D'Or sea side town).

There is a beautiful long drive up to the farm and the setting is so cosy, well looked after and well loved. Everything is very spacious and clean.

We came as two adults (late 20's) and a 2 year old. The staff were lovely with our daughter. This is a quiet place and not some place I would go with noisy children. We drove out to places daily which are within short easy drives.

On site there is the main building, surrounded by farm land, the a good sized restaurant and followed by the suites (by the side of the pool with their own terraces) and then another low rise building with a spa center and a few more rooms.

One of the days we just spent a nice long lazy afternoon by the pool as a family and this was perfect. What was most amazing was the absolute silence - no cars, no loud tourist voices, no tvs and radios (you did have them in room though). It was pure country side bliss. My one thing would be the pool is very cold, then again so was the weather. In summer heat it must be great to cool off.

The staff are extremely friendly to both adults and children :)

The suites are lovely and huge! with a separate living room, a bedroom and then a very big bathroom. They are prettily decorated and yet still have a modern touch whilst being in the country side.

Our biggest hit of this stay was the FOOD. We are both heavy critics with food for personal and job reasons. The food was simply fabulous. They use such fresh produce and in perfect healthy amounts (not small plates :) there is real flavour and colour from starters to deserts. My husband and I have both said we would go back purely for the food - it helps that the rest was so great.

We would recommend this to anyone who cherishes beautiful peaceful romantic moments (even with a small child) and especially to food lovers. Dont miss breakfast!

We hope to go again next year.

We chose Sa Bassa Rotja as a base to explore Mallorca, away from towns and the more developed sea side resorts. You will need a car or bikes if you prefer. The grounds and the surrounding countryside were beautiful and the hotel felt like you were staying with a Mallorcan family. The staff were excellent, helpful, friendly, multi-lingual and pleased to do anything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The receptionists were very helpful with advice for places to visit and things to do.
The suite, (sitting room, bedroom and bathroom) was quirkily rural with lots of exposed stonework. It had all the normal necessities and was very clean and fresh. It was cleaned every day and the bed made up.
We had half board and stayed for 10 days. There was a large range of fruit, cereals, pastries, meats, cheeses and breads for breakfast as well as freshly squeezed oranges and as much coffee/ tea as you wanted. We had cooked breakfasts at the beginning of our stay which were good but as we were starting to put on too much weight we stuck to a more continental style breakfast for the rest of our time.
The evening meals were particularly good. We only had a choice of 2 things for each course but we did not have a poor meal. The fish was particularly well cooked and served. Each meal consisted of an hors-d'oeuvre, starter, main, dessert and coffee.
We had drinks with the meal and these were not expensive when we settled up.
The only thing missing were some books to help identify some of the birds and flowers which we saw.
All in all a great, relaxing holiday.

The finca hotel is located in a quiet environment embedded in an amazing landscape.

What is good:
- New Hotel Manager Thomas is very responsive and currently refresh the whole hotel
- The pool is large and amazing good for a swim
- the food in the restaurant is very good for the price esp. the ayuveda food
- the breakfast is rich, very rich! You can order fresh eggs and omelettes
- the suites at the pool are large, but a little bit old fashioned furnished
- the yoga teacher Ilona is amazing!

What needs to be improved:
- the bicycles are old and not very functional (but will be replaced over the winter)
- the SPA area needs a refurbishment and more focus regarding cleaning
- More cleaning in the bathroom
- think first, before you burn the fire next to the building :)

What we recommend:
- Go into the suites at the pool or ask for a room on the second floor in the main house

Summary:
- Very good for a quiet holiday with focus on yoga, ayuveda and hours of reading at pool
- Book over booking.com
- Thanks for the great stay!

Sa Bassa Rotja is an absolutely beautiful hotel. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool area is fantastic. The rooms were very clean and had nice views.
We found the food to be also very good with a great choice of hot and cold for breakfast and the evening meals were of a high standard. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice and a real pleasure to dine there overlooking the pool.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the stay very relaxing.
Can honestly say this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed and a really good place to wind down and relax. Highly recommended.

Quiet location, 'pleasant' accommodation - but. Please don't mow and strim the lawns during the daytime when guests are sunbathing - it's so noisy, the satelite TV only has (plenty of) German channels!? - some of your guests don't (and don't want too) speak German, a poor breakfast - a gamble for any bacon and scrambled egg to be available when you arrive - did not want strong blue cheese and palma ham to eat instead at 9.00am, uncomfortable beds - terrible back ache, the poolside service was poor - handing out a menu at 1.00pm and then disappearing and returning just the once at random doesn't work for me, and I won't go into any detail on the army of ants in our room. Good points - the room cleaning service was excellent - well done our cleaner - you saved our holiday from being a completely negative experience over the 2 weeks.
