Stayed here in the Last Week of September - Everything was Average to be honest. Bar was very average Beer didn't taste that great, staff seems like they didn't want to be there (Always grumpy)

Food was nice, with a lot of choice however preferred to eat out, Lots of great restaurants nearby (Muay Thai & Donnegans Irish bar were the best) Swimming Pool is tiny, rooms are very basic have to pay for safe.

As an ex-Thomas Cook rep, I used to live in this hotel full time, so maybe my review will be quite biased. I chose this hotel based on the experience I had and the friends I made when I was working in Ibiza.
We arrived on the 30th September for a 5 day all-inclusive stay. We checked in at around 10:30pm, the check in process was very quick, but we were the only people checking in at this time, so based on my knowledge of the hotel I know it can become a lengthy process when a lot of guests arrive at the same time. We were greeted with a smile which is always nice after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately we had just missed the evening meal, so had to go outside the hotel for food that night, again based on my knowledge of the area it was easy to choose somewhere to eat, with 2 restaurants within a 50 metre walk from the hotel.
Our room was immaculately clean, but very basic. The bathroom consisted of a bath with shower head, wash basin, toilet, bidet and plenty of towels. The miniature soaps, shower gels and shampoo were a nice touch. The bedroom had 2 single beds pushed together (as seems to be the norm in Ibiza) a desk with TV. Only 2 English news channels (but let's be honest, who goes to Ibiza to watch TV - lol). The rooms are non-smoking, but you are provided with an ashtray on the balcony. There is free air-con in every room, this will only work when the balcony door is shut.
Breakfast was amazing, there was plenty of choice, from continental fresh pastries, salads and seasonal fruit, to omelettes, and all the ingredients for a full English fry up.
Lunch again a wide variety, with plenty of salad options, and a variety of hot food which changed everyday. There was always a fish, meat, vegetarian and pasta option to choose from. And the hotel chef on duty was cooking things like steak and pork chops to order.
Dinner was very much the same as lunch, again a wide variety on offer all fresh and different everyday.
The snack bar is open all day, and you have the usual burgers, chips and hot dogs, as well as ice cream and crisps for the kids.
As we went all inclusive we had all our drinks included, this was only for the local equivalent and any brand names are charged extra, which is the same in every all-inclusive hotel.
We stayed in to watch the hotel entertainment twice, this consisted of a kiddies disco, pre-show entertainment (which is mostly dancing), and then the main show which changed every night. This is always family orientated.
As the hotel is split over 2 buildings (Mar Amantis 1 & 2) there are 2 pools. The pool in the Mar Amantis 1 looks over the sea, and has a very chilled out atmosphere and lovely views over San Antonio town. The pool in the Mar Amantis 2 is more lively with daytime activities such as water polo, killer pool and killer darts to name a few. There were plenty of sun beds to go around, but I did stay there during the end of the summer season, and I know that getting a sun bed during the height of the summer season (Jun-Sept) can become quite difficult, unless you're willing to get up early to reserve them.
If you want to venture out of the hotel, there are various local amenities nearby. There is a bank and a pharmacy next door, and shops just 20 metres away. You can get a water taxi over to San Antonio Town which cost €2.50 each way, or you can get a normal taxi which will cost around €6. You can also walk there along the sea front which will take around 20-30 minutes.
There are some bars around 100 metres away, which suit all tastes. Pink Panthers had a quiz every night and karaoke all night long. Donnegans is an Irish bar with karaoke some nights, and Bucaneros for the party goers among you.
Overall this hotel was excellent to stay in as couples/families looking for a chilled out holiday. But it is best to go during May or October. Between June and September you will be amongst the 18-30 crowd, and it can get a bit rowdy.
I completely recommend it for whatever your holiday may be, just make sure you go during the right time.

We were a group of 6 females all between the age of 26-45, booked through Jet 2, the hotel was great for us, we were lucky we never experienced any late noise or disruptions. We were placed in hotel II, rooms were nice, clean and surved there purpose.

We used the pool that over looked the sea - lovely view..
Food was ok never struggled to find somehting to eat, always a differnt choice.
Only watched the eveining entertainment once - was ok was family orintated.

Only down side is some of the staff were down right rude.. we only come across 2 members who were nice and pleasant.

There is a bakery under hotel II that we would recommend for fresh pastries - delicious.

Is a 20 minute walk into San An Town but there is a river boat that comes to the from of the hotel several times a day/night..
Taxi costs aroung 6 Euros...

for a short stay this hotel and location is ok.

We booked the holiday through Jet2 .Looking at the location away from the madness of San Antonio we thought it seemed ideal and expected most of the guests would be around the 40s plus age group WRONG .The hotel was full of 18-30s intent on making as much noise and mess as imaginable around the pool leaving plastic cups and other crap everywhere. The pool is adequate but not enough sun loungers to go round so it means getting one before breakfast to be sure of one. From around 4am the dawn chorus starts with shouting and screaming and banging doors as the 18-30 gang start coming home this only lasts till about 6am so don't plan to sleep for these 2 hours.
The hotel its self was of a good standard and backing onto the sea where water taxis land, divided into 2 buildings over the main road, the rooms are of a good size and cleaned everyday .The restaurant is in the building overlooking the sea ,making it a nice place to eat,the food we found to always looked nice and fresh and we found plenty of choice and seating was never a problem as the staff were on the ball clearing tables.
My review started out as a moan but the hotel is fine and if it was further round the bay it wouldn't attract the younger crowd and be a nice place to stay but at times it felt like a zoo.

Got at the Mar Amantis about 1am. We were unfortunately in Mar Amantis II after asked for I and emailing the hotel before hand :( But the rooms were very clean and cleaned daily by the maids. The beds were hard and pillows were lumpy but if you've had 1 or 2 too many to drink anything is comfortable haha! There are no fridges but it does have A/C which works when the door is shut. It has a standard wardrobe (enough for us 3 girls), 2 mirrors and a table with those huge box TVs and only 1 BBC World News channel (although didnt bother us as we werent there to watch TV). Bathrooms were lovely and powerful hot showers :)

Mar Amantis II however caters for everyone aged 18-30 travelling with friends and therefore coming in at all hours banging doors and shouting down the corridors etc. (If you can't beat em join em!) Some people however were very inconsiderate. Mar Amantis I was more family orientated but both hotels were lovely.

Both pools were lovely. Mar Amantis I pool was beautiful looking over to the sea on the sun loungers etc. However both pools are quite deep, Im 5ft 4 and was on my tip toes in both pools. Pool II was nice and where all 18-30age group was. They did aquafit etc in the pool and has a pool bar etc.

Food was based across the road in Mar Amantis I but was delicious. Breakfast was the usual, cooked omlettes or pancakes by the chef, toast, eggs, British sausages, beans, potatoes, mushrooms etc (varied throughout the week), big salad selection and meats, cereals etc. Drinks were tea, coffee, hot choc, latte etc and pineapple juice/orange juice (tasted like strong squash) or water.
Evening meals were amazing. Different everynight. There was a different soup every evening. The chef would cook fish and/or sometimes carvery. We had a mexican night and chinese night during our stay. There was a great variety of choice and food was always hot.
If you are half board like we were, evening drinks were always included which was fab and saved a lot of money, this was coke, diet coke, fanta lemon and orange, san miguel on tap and red, white and rose wine.

Opp Mar amantis I is the taxi boat that takes you across to San Antonio. It is 2 euros 50 and we used this most nights (about 5-10mins on boat). Runs every 30mins unti midnight. Off the taxi boat and left will take you towards the West End Strip.

Locally, out of Mar Amantis II and turn left there is a pharmacy and shop. Next to the shop you can buy small Vodkas etc for 3 euros and big bags of crisps for 2 euros etc we found it the cheapest around. Out of Mar amantis II and turning right was busier and it had a few shops and bars like Pink Panfers and Donnegan's etc. Lovely food and drinks in there. Follow the road up and there are a few more shops (we especially liked Kebabies on the walks back).

We walked the promenade a few times to San Antonio takes about 20-30mins depends how fast you walk. You can see the sling shot from the hotel, once you get that far you are just starting to walk into the hussle and bussle of town. Shopping wise they have all stalls on the front where all the boats are selling lots of jewellery etc. Not much in the way of shopping but they do Hippy Market trips and apparently Ibiza town is best for shopping.

The West End Strip had great deals. There is one that was in the middle of the strip opp Akwa. We had a cocktail jug, 2 drinks each (doubles) and 3 shots for 10 euros. Revolutions was 2 for 5 euros (2 cocktails and 2 shots). We liked Revs and Tropicana as we like the chart type music but ask your rep at your hotel as ours helped us loads!

Visiting a DJ while your out here is a must if you are into that sort of thing. We went to see David Guetta at Pacha (in Ibiza Town) and althought it cost 69 euros it was amazing! Disco Buses were only 3 euros to Ibiza town. So 6 euros in total there and back is only £5 and they run until 6am. (Sometimes buses are included with the ticket). The big nightclubs will set you back quite a bit money wise, talking of £30 upwards for entrance and about £15 a drink so if you do head to one of these head to the West End first! Unfortunately we missed the Zoo Project due to us travelling on a Saturday but it looked really good! If it is your first time it is an eye opener but a must, great fun!

Room Tip: Ask for Mar Amantis I if you want sleep!

Had a great ten days all inclusive. The room was clean and tidy and they was cleaned everyday. When we went down to the restaurant the was a man at the door to greet your breakfast, dinner, tea. He was so nice to everyone and he couldn't do enough for you. I would recommend this place for a holiday. But if you like it a bit quiet this is not for you. I will be booking there again it was fantastic. Pools was great food was great and the staff was great all in all a great holiday
