Visited this hotel in June 2012 as a couple, from a cheap last minute website, half board. We were both 20 at the time.

Location: brilliantly situated 10 seconds away from a beach which has watersport activities. Max. 20min walk from the strip in San An which was good for both a night on the town but also far enough away for a relaxing night in by the pool. There are a few nice restaurants, pubs, shops and mini golf within a 2min walk from the hotel.

Cleanliness: On arrival, our room was spotless and very spacious. The bedding and towels were changed everyday by the staff. The other facilities (ie lounge, dining room, pool, and pool area were always nicely presented and clean. Could not fault cleanliness.

Staff: fun and approachable. Always around the reception and very attentive.

Food: as party-lovers we nearly always missed breakfast but on the occasional time we attended, there was always plenty of choice from continental styles to cooked English breakfast and fresh fruit and juice always available. The evening meal were a bit hit and miss. Starters were constantly nice and constantly the same options available. The mains, however, varied largely from delicious cuts of meat to disgusting meat substitutes (kebabs) with no other options. Dessert was average at best.

Overall Experience:This hotel is excellently situated with a wide variety of guests from English to Germans (but mostly British). The happy hour is brilliant offering a range of strong cocktails made by the bar tender, Pepe, (who must be at least 90). The receptionist was extremely kind providing us with the best local knowledge to make sure we got to all the night clubs we wanted. There was always someone behind the desk too so no matter how late you rolled in at you could always pick up your key!
The beautiful setting right beside the beach makes it a lovely relaxing location which isn't loud so you can have some quiet time when you want. All the water in the rooms are salt water adding to the beach side and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. A brilliant holiday as we got so much for our money!!!!

Hotel Tagomago is rated a two star hotel. It does not offer luxury or perfect conditions but what it does do, is provide a well managed hotel, with good staff, clean rooms and a pleasant environment with prices to reflect its simple and straightforward service. The family that own it now are the ones that built the place, so its got that personal feel about it. The staff seem happy to be working there and its more homely than businesslike. Many Spanish and Italian guests reflect the Mediterranean feel of the place with food to match. There is the obligatory chips and processed food to cater for the non Mediterranean pallet but its the fresh, home made salads and simple dishes, like pastas and vegetables that the food shines in.

The hotel itself is old but has character and is in fairy good nick. The floors are carpeted which is not common in Ibiza and the rooms are basic but acceptable for the price you pay. There is even an elevator for just two floors. There is a busy and noisy road that runs along the side and back of the hotel so rooms facing out onto it are at a considerable disadvantage. The rooms facing the pool, sea and front of the hotel are a much nicer experience I would think.

The top floor of the two story building, built in a unique and different circular shape, has air conditioning, the bottom has not. But air conditioning has its drawbacks and most of the Spanish and Italian guests are used to sleeping in the heat with a window open and a ceiling fan circulating the air. The owner does plan to have air con installed in the ground floor area next year. I stayed in a single room which was functional with its own wardrobe space and bathroom.

Free WI-FI in the lobby and terrace areas, the sea and beach lapping its door, very reasonably priced drinks, a cosy pool and a natural, carob tree, shaded sun bathing area, with great transport links, makes Hotel Tagomago a good place to stay for a 2 star rating. Its a much better option than the 3* ugly, high rise hotels that are close by. I would happily stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the road will attract lots of noise 24hours.

We stayed here again for 12 nights at the end of September. Once again Luis, and his team, were on hand to provide the facilities, and service, that made our holiday exactly what we needed. A place to relax and unwind.
Our favourite part of the day tended to be late afternoon onwards, having a glass (or two or three) of the Estrella beer, whilst enjoying the view over the bay from the poolside garden. The hotel is a traditional Spanish run 'home from home' and thankfully has not sold out to a larger chain. This means that it has kept some identity, which is a big part of its charm.
The hotel has had a lift installed since our last visit, which made lugging the cases to our 2nd floor room (which was cleaned daily) much easier than it might have been.

Once again the food was superb, with lots of choice at both breakfast and dinner.

Not the biggest fan of San Antonio Town, although there are some nice little bars, off the regular beaten track. The Bay area is quieter and has some good bars, with entertainment.
We would return again, because of the hotel and its lovely location. Well done and many thanks again to all staff.

Mike & Jackie

We booked our holiday only 4 weeks in advance so was a little worried what it would be like.

when we arrived we were nicely greeted, had clean room, fab aircon. we were self catering so didnt use much of the facilities but they seemed very clean and staff friendly.

excellent location!

right on a gorgeous little beach to relax on all day.

great location for bus route. could get anywhere from bus stop right outside hotel.

A MUST
if you stay here you must go across the road to a restaurant called Casita. Was easily the nicest restaurant ive been to in ibiza. food was AMAZING and fantastic value for money!!

go to Tagomago if you can!!

I stayed here for 3 nights (17th Sept - 20th Sept 2012). Lovely little hotel on the beach and all the staff are really helpful and the barman was very friendly and witty/chatty. I travelled alone and didn`t feel isolated or intimidated as can be the case sometimes if travelling alone. There seems to be a few English who`re regulars here (probably coz its soo cheap?) but it is great as a crash-pad and is directly on the beach and has a strip of bars behind the hotel for a "mad one". The rooms are in dire need of a makeover but the price of the rooms reflects this. Would i stay here agin - YES!!
