We had an amazing time at this hotel, lovely friendly staff, delicious food and an all round great hotel. You can walk down the hill 2 mins and go to Cala gracio beach. Not many English people there but that didn’t matter. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay would visit Ibiza again and stay in this hotel!

We had reserved two apartments with them with booking.com I guess due to overbooking we were given a very comfortable private house (luna house) and with a private pool, food is supposedly good(if you are not vegetarian)

Staff is very rude, we had to wait until almost 3 to do the check-in, the receptionist insinuated that our credit card wasn't ours(even my fathers credit card is in the same name as one of the rooms reservations) before we been attended for the right staff we had to deal with an apprentice staff who had no idea of how stuff over there works. When we were leaving to the beach one of the days, aa VERY rude guys who were conducting the staff who would drain the sewer knocked on our car window and angerly said we could park there cause the spot was private for the houses in front of it. (We were in one of those houses, but he doesn't seem to bother to ask that first, apparently for our looks he assumed we could afford it) In the first day, I told a lady in the restaurant that I was vegetarian and allergic to milk, she kept insisting to me to eat fish, I asked her if she could give me a boiled egg or something, she kept promising that she would arrange that next day, the next day when I asked her that she pretended she forgot it and promised it for the next day again. While being attended by the staff they kept talking in German while giving us weird looks. many of the signs in the hotel were only in German. The cherry on top of the cake is that all inclusive is a lie, cause a lot of stuff there you have to pay, even one of the pools! (I know it is a common practice in some all-inclusive places, but there it is exaggerated, and anyway, all means all and I felt fooled by it.) The staff who cleans the restaurant is very rude, they took our plates before we finished eating several times, and they are very loud, making loads of noise while they throw glasses and plates, I honestly don't know how they don't break it all.

Dear Thiago,

Thank you for your review. I am a bit surprised to hear that our staff was rude to you, we pride ourselves to have a trained staff who work in our hotel for a long time, some even more than 15 years and are extremely keen on giving our gests the best experience possible.
As our hotel is part of a big community of private house owners, it is unlikely that one of our staff members have asked you to park your car somewhere else, as we have clear signs indicating the parking designated for our guests. We don't deal with the sewer system of the private houses, so that must have been someone from the maintenance team of the company, nevertheless I will personally speak to the chairman of the board of owners and will discuss this issue with him.
Let me assure you that here on Ibiza, and especially in our hotel, no one is discriminated against. We receive guests from all over the world and hire employees from all nationalities and beliefs.. Furthermore, since we work mainly with a Dutch Tour operator, the signs are in Spanish and Dutch, not German.
Our Concept is a Personal all-inclusive concept, which means that on top of receiving the normal all-inclusive package, our guests can pamper themselves with something extra against a very small fee. That's why we developped 3 extra restaurants & 1 Cafe Snack bar to offer an extra quality touch for those who want to have a small change.
The pool you mentioned is our Beach Club for adults only, since we are mainly a family hotel, our guests who want an extra space and want to spend more time together away from the main pools can use this space to chill with a nice compfortable bed and a drink (all included in the small price of the entrance).
We make sure to give the best service and plenty of options to our guests. I am sorry to hear that it didn't meet your standards.
Wishing you a pleasant day, and hoping to see you again amongst our small piece of paradise.

Sincerely,
Elias E

Lovely hotel. Pick up from airport to hotel is about 30-40minutes.
Reception speaks also Dutch. We had room 1416 thats near the kids area and 1minute walk from the pools. The food is hot, they changed this after complaits that of wasn't hot anymore after serving. The food was okay, a lot of oil in everything. But allot of choice. There is all inclusive and extra all inclusive, this includes snacks, cocktails and some other stuff. The animation for kids is okay i've seen better. The patio with coffee corner and pizza is marvelous! We dit not go to the burger restaurant. The rooms are very tidy and clean. Good renovated. The bed!love it!! You can also buy them! There is also a little shop at the hotel with daipers and swimstuff and souvenirs. The gym is okay. Treddmill soms lose weights a bench and a thing with a bar you can change heits but its rusty. The little pool is not very clean and babypool is very Nice. The big pool had an infinitybath and one lower very cool. Snacks and drinks at the poolbar. Very Nice staff. I heard a lot of people who had higher rooms thans us it was a steep walk up and down. You need to rent a car or take the bus, its in front of the hotel. The beach is 10minutes walk down.

We were delayed in arriving at the hotel due to a cancelled flight we had tried to contact the hotel by phone (wouldn't connect) and by email but received no response, we contacted our hotel supplier (loveholidays) who assured us that they had contacted the hotel and our room would still be available. On arrival at the resort the staff were very stuffy and not particularly helpful - they said they only had one room left which was not the type we had booked but with no where else to go we agreed. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in where we have been given a map and told to find our own room - this was the same for other customers not just because we didn't arrive at the expected time - very strange and not the best first impression of a resort.

I am happy to say things got better - the room we were put in was clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom but it was very dark with only one window over shadowed by large trees (we were in 1302). The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage and a safe in the room. My only criticism of the room was that all information (and everything on the tv - where they tell you about excursions) was in Dutch, I understand that most guests are Dutch but if you are accepting customers from other countries information should be available in other languages.

We headed over to the Elite Pool - a lovely area with its own bar and toilets. It was mainly adults in this area with a few families but many children head to the other pools where there were water fountains and games to keep them entertained. There is also an adult only pool but you have to pay 7.50Euros per day for the privilege, although this does include a cocktail we didn't feel this was worth it as the Elite Pool offered us a quiet environment with the all inclusive drinks available.

The hotel is definitely set up for families with children's entertainment, children's pool and children's area in the restaurant. This wasn't an issue for us as a couple but if you are looking for a quiet, romantic getaway this is probably not the hotel for you!

The food in the main restaurant is a buffet style - the quality was good but there could have been a little more variety. There are other restaurants but they require a supplement on top of your all inclusive package. The Burger restaurant was great with large portions but the supplement seemed unnecessary as the food didn't seem any better quality than the main restaurant. The Sea View and more restaurant is a lovely atmosphere with better quality food such as steaks and seafood but not much variety - the suppliments here were a little more we paid 11Euros each for surf and turf (a small steak and 1 prawn), we were still hungry so headed back to the main restaurant for dessert. We used the cafe a couple of times for Pizza at lunchtimes - Pizza was awesome but again required a supplement of 5Euros per Pizza and when we ate in the cafe we were also charged a supplement for drinks included on the all inclusive package.

The staff in general were polite and helpful but I would say they were particularly friendly. They assumed that all customers were Dutch and seemed put out when you explained that you didn't speak Dutch. All announcements for entertainment were given in Dutch, again if you are going to accept guests from other countries this should be taken into account

Overall the holiday was a pleasant experience and the relaxing break we were looking for but there are places where the hotel could make improvements and I personally believe that supplementary system with the all inclusive package seems strange and perhaps needs rethinking.

Just on our last couple of hours at the Maris, so now is a good time to give the family views.
Hotel is only 20 mins cab drive from airport costing 35 euros for a daytime trip.
There are 2 beaches within a 5 minute walk from the hotel
All staff very helpful and polite.
The hotel offers great value for money. The hotel is split up into small blocks that are scattered around the grounds, theses are good as they do not block the views of the sea and hills from the outside restaurant terraces.
The food in the main restaurant has a good choice, always found something to eat, for adults and children. U can also eat in the other restaurants for a small fee. We ate in the tapas which was great( super size portions)
Entertainment was what you expect, our 7 year old liked it
The room was really nice, with a flat screen tv on the wall. Beds and bedding were super the best we’ve had on any holiday, maid service every day who did a great job.
Yes the hotel is predominantly Dutch people, our daughter made a friend in the first hour for our entire stay.
For the Ibiza experience a taxi ride to cafe mambo is only 10 euros
There is a small shop in the hotel, which could be improved by selling newspapers and mags, as there are no shops in walking distance to the hotel.
Only gripe is you have to pay for bottled water( 1 euro) and some adult activities in the day would be good ie water aerobics.
Overall a great family break, we will be back
