“Another Year , Another Brilliant Holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

My Wife and I now have been holidaying to the White Island for 25 Years.
We have stayed at the wonderfull Bellamar 15 times.
We now would not stay anywhere else. From the owners Pepe and family to Managnger Austin, Juan and Marco, and the team in the restaurant, Dommi and Eva,and the gang on reception.
The wonderfull Modesto and team in the bar, Always make our holiday great.
The place is always clean,The food is always tasty and always a great choice of hot and cold food.
We were lucky enough to get our usual room on the the top floor at the front.(under the E of the name Bellamar.)Wonderfull views of the Bay.Enjoyed walking along the beach, and all around San Antonio.Hired a Car for few days and travelled around the island.
All in all another brilliant Holiday
See you all Next Year.

The Bellamar is a nice hotel. Probably not for the clubbers out there, but as we were there at the end of the season it seemed to be populated by older couples than ourselves. We had a room with not much view. Low and on the side of the building and too far back to see much else. ( we didn't request to move as we wouldn't be there too long). The towels seemed to be plagued with a a fake tan problem (I certainly wasn't wearing any) as they were streaked with it. If you want to go into San Antonio it is a good half an hour walk but it's away from the roads so it's lovely and there is a taxi rank just around the corner. Meals in the bar are ok, burgers and omelettes as far as I could see and I didn't use the bar (but was only there for three nights).

The rooms are lovely and clean but I would have preferred twin beds to be separate. The balcony was huge. The bathroom was a good size and facilities good, but recommend taking your own hairdryer, it's a bit basic.

The pool area is lovely and the Jacuzzi area nice. I wonder how busy it is in the summer but it is a stones throw from the beach. Towels were available for the pool area with a deposit.

The breakfast selection was good and champagne was provided on a Sunday morning, however be prepared to put your toast through the machine about 4 times!!!

The pros and cons from previous reviews are both correct. We had a room overlooking the pool and San Antoni bay/ Great views. The room was very nice. Yes the pool area gets crowded early but for us id did not matter as there is a beautiful sandy beach just steps away with great views and nice eateries. Yes the internet is not good but you are on vacation on an island. On the nights that they have entertainment it is right below the pool facing rooms so if you want to go to bed early you cant. But you are in Ibiza.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Bellamar Hotel, Es Pouet Beach, San Antonio Bay for 14 nights from 4th-18th Sept and had a fabulous time. The research is left up to me for the hotel we stay in and I certainly made a good choice. I really value the reviews.
We had our cases taken up to our room. We had a lovely room, with sea views to the right. (although on the side ) Room 328, but had the best sunsets facing our balcony. The rooms on the other side would face another hotel. There are 5 floors, front rooms facing the sea/pool and 2 sides with rooms, all with balconies, approximately 150 rooms, I believe. I did request a double bed, not 2 singles and as we arrived before check-in time, I was disappointed to see 2 singles and when we arrived back later on the first day in our room, the 2 singles had turned into a double, via the large mattress, with a comfortable, large bed. We both slept like logs - nice one Bellamar! The t/v had English channels, an integrated fridge, although there was a lot of heat coming from inside the cupboard door and the contents would not be cool enough, so we wedged open the cupboard door slightly, to let the air circulate. There was tea/coffee - making facilities. Sometimes the tea/coffee items were not always replaced, but we bought PG Tips/Nescafe/milk from one of the many supermarkets next to the hotel. The kettle, however, did not turn off when it had boiled, but we had a technique for that! The bathroom was good, with a nice shower. The hair-dryer was too hot on the highest button, but at least you don't need to hold your thumb on the button! The towels are changed daily and the bed too.
There were adaptations of ramps /rails at the entrance of the hotel and also leading into the restaurant, which being disabled, I used daily. We opted for b & b, as we like to feel free to choice different restaurants in the evening, although we did eat at the restaurant twice in our 2nd week and we were very impressed, as so with the breakfast. Marco is the Catering Manager, I believe, who does a good job. We were seated and offered the wine list and found that the house wine @ 9.80 Euros was very nice, there is a good selection of quality hot and cold buffet. The breakfast too had a very wide selection of hot and cold food. Eggs are cooked fresh on request - fried or omlettes with fillings, selection of ham/cheese/fruit/yoghurts/pastries/pancakes/cereals/English breakfast/3 fruit juices (quite weak ) /coffee machines (nice) /PG Tips as one of the tea choices.Breakfast times are from 8.00-10.30am and evening times are from 7.30-10.30. As we arrived later one evening after a day out @ about 9.45, deserts, for example, were being cleared away.
The hotel is perfectly located across the road from the clear blue, warm waters of the Es Pouet Beach, maybe half way around San Antonio Bay, away from the 'night-life'. There is plenty of choice of good restaurants/chill bars within close walking distance to the hotel ( see other reviews recommended ) There is a restaurant, Grill d'es Solei, right below the sun bed terrace and you can look down into the restaurant. Not sure if it is part of the hotel, but one of my recommended restaurants. Supermarkets/souvenir/beach shops are also situated within easy walking distance (even for myself! ) There is a bus stop across the road, with single, red buses running regularly to island destinations and coach/mini bus pick - up stop too. There is a taxi rank just around the corner from the supermarket ( 20 Euros to old town Ibiza - Eivissa, worth the trip ) As a short cut from the hotel to the road, there are steps down, with rails, leading out to a glass door, with entrance back in for guests using their room card for security. There are enough sunbeds on the the 4 areas of terraces. The raised terrace is smaller with a jaccuzi enough for 2 adults to lie in. The pool bar area serves cocktails (all 8 Euros ), drinks and snacks. We only ordered pina coladas/wine/cold drinks/tea/coffee. Drinks are ordered only at the pool bar, but can be brought to your sunbed and paid for there too. On the Lower Ground Floor is the spa. I had a look around , but didn't use the facilities. Free access from 9.00-11.00 am and 20 Euros for the day, I asked. Entertainment - we only experienced the fabulous, chilling saxophone player on Tuesdays from 8.00pm by the pool. It was relaxing to hear him play, while enjoying a drink at the pool bar after an evening out on the bay.
All the hotel staff were friendly and courteous, including the house-keeping staff. Eva at the hotel reception was very helpful with her knowledge (she arranged the coach trip to Es Cana Hippy Market on Wednesdays @ 28 Euros each ) Everywhere was very clean. Talking to other guests, which were mostly middle-aged couples like ourselves, many have returned to The Bellamar Hotel and staff have recognised them on their return. I noticed the 4.5/5 rating of Excellence Certificate on the wall in the reception.
I would definitely return to and recommend The Bellamar Hotel.

Stayed for 7 nights from the 11th September. Room clean and tidy. Great location in the bay far enough from the West End to get a good nights sleep. The food in the restaurant is excellent in both choice and quality. Mostly middle aged couples staying there. Have stayed there twice and will certainly stay again.

The Bellamar is good value for the money. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, had a decent sized balcony, the wifi worked well, the bathroom was clean and the bed was decent. The location is little bit away from the party area of Sant Antoni which was perfect for us. The restaurant downstairs had great food and the pool and area around are great. I would stay again, especially at the price we paid.

Room Tip: Obviously rooms with an ocean view go for a premium but with the sunsets of Sant Antoni it is worthw...

Just back from 12 days in Ibiza. It was wonderful. My son had been trying to convince my husband and I to go to Ibiza for some years. Im glad we took his advice. The hotel is in a perfect location in the bay. San Antonio town is about a half hours walk away. This is the mega biz!!!!!!!!!!!Great for people watching. The hotel was spotless clean and the food in the restaurant first class. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I cant wait to go back. It was more an adult hotel but there were a few children who were no bother at all. The terrace and pool area are first class. Loved it.x

Room Tip: Only has 5 floors. We had a 5th floor romm. Views were fantastic. This hotel is sound proofed.
