The hotel was supeply located right on the beach and we were given lovely seaview rooms , the food though mostly predictable was ok but felt the snacks were very poor , i travelled with my family and my disabled sonwho was able to access all hotel and neighbourhood as it was very wheelchair friendly. No entertainment was hard as was no music so great for chillin the staff in hotel were mostly very nice but refused to do much about security issues in hotel such as unsafe door entry cards to each room as someone enterd my room with me and my son in it, thank god i was ok .every night after that i barracaded the door with furniture from the room, not nice especially as everyone was doing the same! ifunfortunately i did have items stolen from my suitcase and inly realised when in uk ; strangely i would go again but have a few security measurews in case and i would not buy anything till last night of return home not a good place to go if you suffer from anxiety as so0 many people had same issues

Room Tip: use a door alarm with door wedge

After reading the recent revews of his hotel and its sister hotel just before the holiday I was filled with trepidation so what a lovely suprise. We had a lovely sea view room with a balcony that was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. There was air conditioning in the bedroom but wasn't required in October but in the summer would be a bonus. You can use the facilities in both hotels and we did tend to eat in San Remo next door as it was often cooler and a good atmospher but the food was the same in both hotels and for all inclusive we all felt that it was to a good standard with plenty of choice. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, all in all a good time was had by all

Room Tip: get a sea view room in Hotel Estanyol

We checked in at this hotel and was all good.
had to wait till two to get in our room which was not a problem.
But during our stay here we were furious to find out that our friends had been robbed on there second day of arrival which was absalutley descusting they took 300 euros from them.
Few days later it happened to us we were sleeping in our room as to hear someone lerking around our rrom and the door wide open and my purse open.
This should not be happening and you should least be able to go on holiday and find your belongings safe and not to be invaded of privicy whist sleeping.
Me and my husband both suffer from anxiety and you dont expect to spend ure holiday thinking someones going to enter your room and do you over.
Its like a scene from crime stoppers blooming horrific we were even thinking of buying a baseball bat to sleep with.
drinks are wierd and make u drousey after two half largers hmm? really sounds like someones drugging them and constently watching when ure going to your room.
The fire exits are allways open and windows also this place has no security what so ever and should be shut down. I mean how is this hotel sill running?
When you go on holiday you wnat a break not a heart attack if u ask me.
Food is eatable but not great as is repetive.
I will say one possitive kitchen staff friendly enouth the chef is trying his best.
This is the worst rating myself and my husband have evr had to wrte and we are not the first brits this has happened to.
Oh yeah and when i went to complain about someone being in our room the receptionist, she was really rude and just said this is not possible.
How can this not be possibe when its happening to most people who stay here.
And oh yeah we looked at our friends safe and u can put any code u like in it to open it.
How appauling get this hotel shut down now.
Myself and other fellow residents of this rubish hotel are going to do a patition to stop this happening to others.
I mean someone could be murdered here.
We will never ever stay here again and had to rate this as a one star hotel as this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
On a up san antonia is a beautifull island u must go on a boat to cafe del mar it 5 euros to go and see the beautifull sunset.
Just dont stay here as your lifes are at risk in the end we had to put our chairs up against the door to keep ourselfs safe and baricaded in..
Its desusting making peoples anxiety so high u come away to relax not be at risk of getting robbed.
Oh and theres more really im so mad with this place they are letting beach sellers into the hotel who sell u knock of dvds and overpriced sung;lasses i mean u can get them over the road for 3 euros.
Right thats me done my essay everyone please just dont go here.

For a late cheap deal, this hotel was well worth the money. The place is spotless & the proximity to the beach, lets you take full advantage of the all inclusive all day :-)) its a 30 second wander from the beach to the bar or for lunch.
The beach however lovely, lacks sunbeds\umberellas , which not so good if your over 25!! getting off a lilo isnt always easy or dignifiied! Couldnt understand why no-one was cashing in on this. & of course the hotel would not allow you to take one of their un-used sunbeds across the wall onto the beach. The pools are fairly shaded all day, so pretty much un-used.
However that all said, the place is clean and tidy and the rooms are serviced every day. The food is more than nice and the variety is good all round. Not as warm as it could be but 10 seconds in the microwave can sort this.

The downside has to be the drinks and plastic issues. Alcohol is plentyfull but its very basic and pretty gruesome over any length of time. The vodka rots your teeth!!! no joke!! 3 of us were pained by toothache till we stopped drinking it! The plastic chairs and night time seating certainly does not encourage you to hang around the hotel. I get the feeling this is made as uncomforable and boring as is possible to enourage the masses to go elsewhere. NO entertainment and a shortage of seats of an evening , and this was October!!

All said and done, pleasant enough, food was pretty good - take your own bottle tho eh ;-)))

Firstly, we were placed in San Remos sister hotel, Hotel Estanyol, but we thought this might happen and we're very pleased becuase we got a lovely seaview bedroom over looking the beach and the bay!

Secondly, I dont know what others paid, but we wanted a low cost package holiday, and the all-inclusive accom. (travelsoon.com) came to £375 in total for the 2 of us for the week, which works out just under £27per person per day for your accom and 3 all-you-can- eat meals and all-you-can-drink drinks, every day!!! So PLEASE bear that in mind, thats fantastic value!!!

Drinks in San Antonio can start around £5 a drink so £27 for all that is fantastic!

Food
Breakfast: cereals, toast, juices, eggs (scrambled/fried/boiled), sausages, mushrooms, bacon, baked beans etc hams, cheese, yogurt, pasteries, fruit Tea or coffee etc

Lunch and dinner: salad, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, olives, onions, beetroot, cold fish, cold pasta/rice salads, soup, bread rolls, fresh cooked meat, 2 other meats and 2 types fish, pasta or rice, different hot veg, chips, yogurts, jelly, fresh pineapple and melon slices, a couple other sweet desserts, small mousse ice-creams, bread rolls with butter etc. We really enjoyed all the fish, because its so fresh, but the meat was a bit fatty and hit or miss.

Dinner is same as lunch and u can also have red/white wine and beer

Bedrooms:
Twin beds, (I believe they dont have double beds, but we didnt mind) quite spacious rooms, small tv, u have to get remote at reception, biggish bath with jacuzzi button, spacious bathroom. Some of the fixtures we're a bit delapadated looking but everything worked fine, shower was really powerful and always hot water! We found our room to be clean, and no mould, but I can only speak for our room.
Big wardrobe, 2 safes, but we just padlocked are suitcases! Room cleaned every day, floor brushed, windows cleaned, bed just remade...not sure when they would change the sheets.

All inclusive is great, wide variety of drinks, spirits etc, just one type of beer estrella, always plenty of water and juice available and tea or coffee

Cons:
Theres no air con in the bedrooms, it cud get very sweaty at night mid summer!
The pool area is small but the beach is right beside the hotel, but this cud be very overcrowded in summer
The rooms arent the most soundproof, but depends how noisy the neighbours are! (Ours were very noisy on last night but security told them to keep quiet)
There is no entertainment, this hotel is not suitable for kids because there wud be nothing for them to do
Theres no wi-fi in the bedrooms and its only available in the San Remo bar area, slow speed.

Overall we're giving this a 4 out of 5, becuase for this time of year, everything suited us, it wasnt excessively warm, we enjoyed the fresh food and salads, we indulged in the all inclusive drink and the beach/restaurant/bar areas were never too packed for us!

I think I would stay at this hotel again but only at either the start or end of the season, becuase I really would have liked air conditioning.

P.s. We had the most incredible Tapas at Tapas Ibiza just a couple minutes walk straight up behind Linekers bar! Its a must-eat-at, opens 6pm every night!
Enjoy!

Room Tip: Ask for a Seaview because they have excellent views, maybe ask for a room on the mid-top floors away...

Our recent experience of the Estanyol (where we slept and ate) and of the San Remo were so much at variance from many of the comments of other guests that we wonder whether we are talking of the same place. The hotel was spotless, the room was large - and i mean large- with a spendid sea view, it was cleaned immaculately every day and was very usefully, if simply furnished. We had most of our meals in the restaurant. They were well-cooked, offered good variety and were accompanied by friendly and attentive service. It is true that the pool area of the San Remo is a bit restricted and i could imagine it being very much so in high season, but overall the hotel was excellent value. My wife and I have travelled the world, staying in many four and five star hotels, so we are not without experience in making comparisons. Thank yoyuPlaya Sol. We hope to see you again. (By the way: anybody who cannot see the sense of serving poolside drinks in plastic cups really cannot be very bright!)
