just got back from the most amazing week in Ibiza !! if you want a relaxing holiday then do not go there !! arrived at hotel Brisa looked basic but was nice enough !! bit annoyed that had to give 50 euro deposit straight away for any damage. We went with club 18-30 so we had the reps come and give us the welcome talk about the package they have available !! my advice dont do it its a waste of money and there is plenty of ticket sellers everywhere for better events !! we did a boat party which was well worth the money !! the hotel breakfast was well below average but was included anyway but main downfall was that there was no fridge so this meant no cold drinks throughout the day !! the strip is really good and i say soul city and faces were the best two clubs we went to !! there was only two of us but we had an amazing time ! the reps only want your money and are not that helpful and the hotel recepetion staff can be very rude so dont get on the wrong side of them ! all in all IBIZA is insane and yourll have the best time stay safe and watch your purse

We arrived at Hotel Brisa flying with Thomas Cook airlines on the 3rd July 2013. We checked in and got our passports took to be looked after but was not told when we could have them back and then we had to pay a £50 deposit incase we broke something... Abit stupid as there was nothing really to break... And when we got to our room it was basic. We had a small room, with bathroom and balcony. 2 single beds. The view from the balcony was the appartments at the opposite side....

This was a bad view and you could often just see other people from the other balcony sat out. Below was a spanish bar and a nice little local spanish area.

Room and night comfort was not the best with doors slamming every minuite and music blasting, but this was an 18-30 holiday so what else would you expect.. only abit of fun. You deffinitely need to make friends and take a friend or more too. Safety in numbers and everything.

Be carful if you go on a walk between 4am and 8am. This may seem like odd advice as theres less people about and most say you need to keep safe all night which is true. But prostitutes up the road will chase you asking if you want "sucky sucky 20 euro" so just avoid them if this happens to you as they will try to steal from you if you have had to much to drink.

Our rep gary, he was an alright person but we did hear on the last night he left 4 lasses to get back to the hotel on there own whilst he went off with a lass. when I heard this i thought this was unacceptable especially when I heard the lass had lost her mates... and he described on the first night that the lasses at the hotel are "vulnerable" which i personally thought is abit unacceptable as you shouldnt take advantage of people....

so overall a good trip, but deffinitely not recommend for a quiet trip away! around corner from the strip and nice beach locations near by.

Room Tip: Ask for one on a high balcony! low just means youll be looking at a spanish pub and maybe lasses wal...

Just got back from a 7 nights trip with my girls, we had nothing to complain about the hotel staff were really friendly, rooms were cleaned every morning.

The breakfast was not great but its edible.
Overall was a nice stay.

Just back from staying at the Brisa and what can I say? We got a bargain with Thomas Cook and weren't expecting much but the hotel ticks all the boxes. The pool area was spotless as was the pool and the rooms were cleaned and tidied every day.

Great food from the bar next to the pool and music by the pool from 11am every day. Don't expect much from the breakfast, but it does fill you until you can be bothered to make the 2minute walk to the lovely supermarket down the road to stock up.

We took BIG speakers and had no issues with music before we went out (around 12am - 1am) but they are strict on music when you get back which is fair enough really! Didn't have any problems with other guests being noisy and made loads of friends in the hotel which seemed to be relatively idiot free!

The walk from the westend to the hotel was simple enough and short enough to be done alone as a girl and I always felt safe around the hotel area.

Room Tip: Overlooking the street was good for avoiding noise.

We were talking about holidays, and ibiza this year and was asked the question of what was the place like when we stopped last year, so i thought i would write this review because its fresh in my mind again now. Where do i start... The staff at the desk were ok, did take a bit of time to sort out the room but no bother. We got to the room and the place really did need a lick of paint, small, but clean enough. We were on the 5th floor, and the balcony was probably perfectly safe but the bannister was wobbly and it was a bit unnerving.
The one evening we came back from Bora Bora, and listened to some music, on tiny computer speakers mind (probably 1.5 inches high), and there was a bang on the door, the man at the deck..! He preceded to barge in kick off about the noise and robbed the speakers, i followed him outside and gave him a piece of my mind simply because there was noise coming from all the rooms. I grabbed my things back, and told him to go find someone else.
I didnt mind the noise, its ibiza at the end of the day, but be warned, across the road the man with the Harley Davidson takes his monster for a spin early in the morning and my god if you sleep through that you'd sleep through anything. So on our last evening it was quite a pleasure to see him and his mates in a strop because a bunch of lads on the floor beneath must of had a PA system in their room, it was brilliant, about 8 of them gesturing at the hotel about the noise.
One last thing i will say, dont use the air-conditioning there... I will find a better hotel next time, but it probably wont be that hard...

Room Tip: Away from the man who owns the Harley next door

I stayed in August last year and it was a great hotel to stay at. The rooms were basic and clean, staff were friendly and there is a good atmosphere at the poolside. Only a 5/10 minute walk to the westend and Ibiza Rocks is only round the corner. Would stay at the Brisa again.

Room Tip: Top floor room facing the front of the hotel, back rooms facing the pool can be noisy during the day...

I stayed at the Brisa for about 3 years in a row and had such fantastic holidays. The rooms were clean, the staff were fantastic, we'd forged friendships with the staff, especially Victor in the bar :)

In 2009 it all went wrong; my fiance and I were staying alone at the Brisa - one week into our holiday a group of lads moved into the room next door. They were smashing bottles all hours of the day, screaming in the middle of the night etc etc.
The night security spoke to them to no effect, we politely asked them if they'd tone it down a little; that was the beginning of the end for the Brisa for us. Their antics continued but they made a conscious effort to bother us at every opportunity. Shouting when we were on the balcony, making comments when we were in the hotel bar etc etc. These things seem trivial when I write them down but in person their actions were so hostile it was scary. I'm no stranger to the partying side of Ibiza, I've stayed at the Brisa in a group of 13, music was played quite loud until we went out and we could be quite rowdy but at the end of the day we respected the other guests.

Other guests made complaints about this group but no action was taken. I've heard of people being kicked out of hotels for much less.

The final straw was when one of them squared up to my fiance in the bar, we told the staff that if they weren't prepared to deal with the group then we wanted to move hotels. We spoke to the rep who arranged for us to move to the S'anfora for the last 4-5nights of our holiday.

We have never returned to the Brisa, even though it is very unlikely that anything like that would happen again, our loyalty to the hotel and friendships we had made over the years was worthless, and that is a sad thing. I would have gone back every year, the hotel is basic but the location is good, the facilities are good, the staff were good.

We do however make a point of visiting Victor each time we go to Ibiza (the last time in 2011), he's such a lovely chap.

I have dated this review September 2012, which is the correct month of travel if not the right year.
