“You Get what you pay for- NOT ideal for children”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

came back from here yesterday after spending 3 nights here all inclusive. Booked last minute off ice lolly.com. Great price to be honest- but you get what you pay for. Location of hotel perfect for beach, lively bars....
Originally booked in Estanyol Hotel ( sister hotel next door ) was told on arrival we had been transferred to San Remo. Although a bit annoyed at first relieved after speaking to a few other couples as hotel Estanyol had had 5 break ins that week...
First impressions of hotel, clean & friendly. Rooms basic, bath, shower, bidet, hair dryer.
Food consisting of chips ( every meal time, including breakfast as we experienced on our last day :-~) microwave in restaurant..why. Food sometimes cold.
All inclusive bar. 2 drinks per person, small plastic cups.
Entertainment, NONE. None whatsoever!! what all inclusive hotel has no entertainment.? Not even any background music playing! Shocking. Pool area is awful. Small pool. Not ideal for childen. Sun beds- nowhere to put them. Few and far between.

I give this hotel a 7 out of 10. Don't book if you have young children.

I read a lot of bad reviews on here but I ignored them hoping that they weren't as extreme as was said but I wish I had taken notice. When arriving at the hotel the service was okay although many staff spoke little English, our room was clean and basic and was probably the best part of the hotel. We then went down to the bar where we received tiny plastic cups as an "all inclusive drink" this was after waiting 5 minutes in a Que because there was only one person behind the bar. The next complaint would be the restaurant, it's okay if you eat chicken nuggets and chips every night... But even they were terrible quality and cold. There is very little variety and the deserts are not much better! We ended up eating out most nights at a lovely cafe right opposite the hotel called " can grao" which has lovely food at a cheap price,I defiantly recommend it! As for the rest of the hotel all I can say is negatives; the swimming pool is tiny as is the space around it, the so called beach is dirty and situated the other side of a muddy, dusty road. But a good beach is about a ten minute walk away with white sand and clear sea perfect beach for relaxing!

we never booked this hotel but got placed there, to start with our room was opposite a night club that didnt close till 3.30 am not that that was ahuge problem but if your going as a family dont expect to sleep if your on the road side of the hotel.. we had no hot water for the entire, week and was told we could move rooms 1 day before we were due to leave, and offered a ground floor room to shower in , the food is always the same, and is either not hot enough, by any health and safety standards, undercooked or it was disgusting, salad bar was the only thing worth going in for , needless to say after paying for all inclusive, we ate out after the first 2 days. the staff are not helpful at all, and when it rains, there is no shelter if you want to stay outside, no where near enough space or sun beds round the pool for the amount of people in the hotel either, on the upside the hotel is clean and it has got a tiny beach outside .. never again !!

Room Tip: never take a road side room if you have young children, the views from the beach side are beautiful...

Stayed here for 1 week (not originally booked into this hotel - change from tour operator) and were dubious after reading the reviews.
However, they couldn't be further from the truth! Our room was spotless and big considering there was only the 2 of us!
The food, though not gourmet, was always hot and fresh with plenty of choice. Perfectly adequate for all inclusive board!
The staff were always pleasant and helpful, especially the reception staff who looked after my friend when she became unwell.
The 'grumpy' barman (as mentioned in previous reviews) was lovely!
The pool was always clean and close to the beach which was perfect for us!
Personally, we would stay here again no problem!
The only criticism was that there was not much hot water in the evenings to take a shower! But this is typical when being away and everybody wanting a shower at the same time!!

We booked as a group of ten for my hen party and when we read the reviews on here I've got to be honest was really worried, but omg some people just like to moan, they are the reason their holiday was rubbish not this hotel!!
The staff were great really friendly we had a laugh with them, yes you get two drinks in plastic cups but its an all inclusive 3* you can go up as many times as you like, good variety of drinks beer, red and white wine, gin brandy, snapps, vodka Malibu, whiskey all local branded but who cares it was free and we was drunk! Pool area was clean and kept clean and tidy access to the beach and the facilities of the hotel bar next door so we found a great spot between the sea and the bar!
Food was good, good variety fresh fruit and salad breads, fresh meat or fish cooked on the hot griddle, variety of veg, rice, pasta, potatoes. Lunch spread was always better then dinner (I found) breakfast was just what you needed. If your fussy and only eat, burgers chips and nuggets don't just not go to this hotel don't go on holiday full stop. Stay at home and treat yourself to McDonald's for a week.
Room was just what we needed, had 4 rooms 3 with a sea/pool view nice little balconys, one room had a hot water pressure problem at peak times but we had the other rooms so we got over it and carried on enjoying ourselves. Rooms along with the rest of the hotel were really clean. Yes it's noisy but its ibiza!
I would book to return to the San remo all the staff helped make our holiday. Would also highly recommend the panffers bar opposite sue and all the staff really looked after us, donegans Irish bar is also worth a visit.

well what can i say i came here with my boyfriend and two boys 1 aged 9 the other 5 the room was perfect a lovely sea view as we was on top floor which was away from the bustle of the bars on the front the food was very basic and flavourless really boring the snack menu was a joke cakes and sandwiches they was disgusting the bar serves drinks in small plastic cups 1 gulp and its gone so u was backward and forward all the time there was no entertainment for kids the pool was freezing cold the only good thing was the bars round the corner had the local soaps on so you could catch up and play bingo and sing to karaoke would not come here again even though the hotel was clean and maids cleaned rooms everyday would not be coming again we came out of season so everything was shut so why is this hotel still open as all clubs are shut and waterpark shuts end of sept ok for a quiet hol but not for kids

Room Tip: higher rooms and to the rear of hotel have seaview very good sights

Room 205 - Cheap hotel in a convenient location. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels. Staff pleasant. Suitable for stags/hens/young people/older people who are going or who are deaf (the young 1's can be a tad noisy between the hours of 4am-6am) lol. Not ideal for families/young children. My main criticism from this stay (20th/23rd October) absolutely no hot water?! We complained on our 2nd night and were told by the ovewhelmed, complaint weary, receptionist that she could move us to a sister hotel and that they thought the problem was the 4th Floor only - what?- On going out on the 2nd night the queue at reception from guests with complaints was unbelievable and the young receptionist looked completely out of her depth...come on MANAGEMENT...surely this is your department! Apart from that our weekend wasn't spoilt however I'm sure if you were there for a week or two unable to have a hot/warm shower it would affect your holiday somewhat...All in all cheap, basic hotel in a very convenient location. You do get what you pay for...
