“Very Good 3* Hotel”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

My husband and I stayed at this Hotel from 2-12th October. This is s good 3* Hotel and the staff are all friendly. Good location as Hotel is right on the beach beside the water taxi . Water taxi to San Antonia was 3 Euros and you could also get the water taxi to Port Torrent and Cala Bassa, which is the nicest beach. We walked to San Antonia and it took us 40 minutes to walk to the fountains at the beach front. It you want to walk in the other direction from the Hotel then it takes 20 minutes to the beach at Port Torrent. At the top of the road from the Hotel there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. At night we often went ot the Old Tavern Bar at the top of our street and the entertainment was good and the host was Jackie from Liverpool. The Hotel rooms are a good size with air conditioning and the added benefit of a quiet ceiling fan. Bathroom has shower/bath/wash basin/bidet and toiletries freebies. Maid cleans room every day and fresh towels are left if required. The balcony was very large and I had emailed the Hotel to ask for a high floor room in Milord 2 building overlooking Hotel entrance with views to Port Torrent and the mountains and our request was met. This is facing West and we got the sun on our 5th floor balcony from mid afternoon till sunset. The room also had a side sea view. The Hotel has 2 buidings and Building 1 has the reception in it and Milord 2 building has the restaurant in it. Each building has its own swimming pool and there were plenty of sunbeds. The night entertainment was outside at the pool bar and organized by Gino (Italian Guy). Our only complaint about this Hotel is that the head waiter does not show you a table at the evening meal and as the restaurant was very busy between 7 and 8pm and you were left to wander around and try and find a table yourself. Not what we expect of a good Hotel! I spoke to Deagio, the head waiter about the problem and he said that if we approached him he would find us a table burt some nights he was busy and it was difficult to get his attention. Also, part of the restaurant was closed off due to the end of the season. The food was very good and the desserts were even better and there was always plenty of fresh fruit on display. There was show cooking every night and mostly the food was hot. We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel and would recommend it to family and friends.

Room Tip: email the Hotel and ask for a high floor room facing West in Milord 2 building. These rooms get the...

We usually go to Ibiza at this time of the year but had never been to this area before. Didn’t expect too much because the price was low and the upgrade to All Inclusive at £10 was too good to miss (€19.50 in the hotel). We were pleasantly surprised.

Like all Fiesta hotels there is a long list of extras (upgrades). Safes cost €3.90 a day, fridges €8.50 a day, irons €5.25 a day, beach towels €3.00 a day etc. Save money and bring your own or do without!

A quick check in and into a very nice room in block 2 overlooking the pool and the sea. The room was a good size with a/c and a ceiling fan.

The restaurant, which is in block 2, was a bit busy at times but we always found a table. The food was excellent (but usually is in a Fiesta hotel) with something for everybody. Drinks were dispensed at a little bar by the lovely Ana. We had a picnic lunch (for 2) one day to go down to the beach – there was enough food for a family of six!

The main bar is out by the pool and is excellent. Good staff, good variety and quality of drinks. Also serves snacks (toasties, burgers and hotdogs) at various times during the day. Entertainment area is also outside and served by the pool bar – you have to have dinner pretty early to get out there and find a seat. The alternative at night is a bar in the reception area which is quite nice but was generally full of Germans watching football on TV. Germans made up about 60% of the clientele with about 20% British, but everyone seemed to get on OK and enjoyed themselves.

Another alternative was to walk 50 yards up to the main street which has a fair number of shops, bars and restaurants.

The sunbathing areas are pretty tight but we never failed to find a couple of sunbeds at most times of the day. The best area is around the pool in front of block 2 – the area around the other pool loses the sun pretty early and is also where most of the daytime entertainment is held. The beach in front of the hotel is poor – a 20 minute walk takes you to Port de Torrent beach which is much nicer but the sunbeds are expensive. At 7€ each for beds and parasols, most were empty. We’ve since been to Gran Canaria where sunbeds were €2.50 each and they were all full by 10.30.

The taxi-boat over to San Antonio was useful as the walk around the bay took about 50 mins. We did both methods a few times although San Antonio has got very little going for it compared with Es Cana or Santa Eularia. We did have a walk along to Café Mambo where people go to watch the sunset – it’s OK but a little expensive (€4.50 for a pint). There is a good bus station where you can get regular buses to most parts of the island.

It’s hard to find much wrong with this hotel. Rooms, food, drinks and staff are all excellent. The entertainment was not great and this is certainly not the best part of this beautiful island, but if I got a good deal I would certainly go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Block 2 overlooking pool is quiet and sunny.

First the good points-,very clean,- rooms spacious and comfortable,-staff very good (especially the lady who cleaned our room). we reported two electrical faults which were rectified within the hour, when the ceiling fan stopped working a new one was fitted almost immediately-.Food was OK
always something to eat.
Negatives--WARNING to asthmatics or people who are sensitive to AIR FRESHENERS, the two main lobbies (including) the inside bar have automatic air fresheners which I believe are way to strong and overpowering, I avoided these areas whenever possible. We heard many guests commenting on the same issue, it needs a serious policy review, as it can cause breathing problems with some people.
Considering it was all inclusive there many additional charges IE- kettle- safe etc.

We have visited this hotel on 3 occasions now over the past 6 years so thought it only right that we leave a review of this lovely hotel. On each holiday, we have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the quality of the food and drink on offer. On the last two visits, as we are repeat customers, we have been left a lovely fruit basket and bottles of water on arrival to our room. The rooms have two single beds pushed together which is pretty standard for most European hotels in my experience. We always requested a sea view a few weeks before travel and this is what we got on all our 3 visits.

The food will appeal to all different tastes and does differ from day to day. If I'm being picky, there could be more local dishes. On holidays, we do like to sample a few local restaurants for a few nights. A 5 minute walk will bring you to a long road full of bars and restaurants; more than enough to sample the local cuisine with many bars offering happy hours.

The two pools are a nice size with a lifeguard on duty. One downside is no lilos or floats allowed in the pool due to health and safety. We always managed to get a sun bed after breakfast in a nice spot, but we do normally holiday in September so I can imagine it may be busier in the main summer months. The beach outside the hotel in all honesty isn't very nice so if you are a beach person, this hotel may not be for you. However, a quick 10 minute walk will take you to a lovely beach with clear waters. We would walk to San Antonio most days which took 45 minutes and get the boat back which would stop literally outside the hotel.

We look forward to our fourth visit.

Room Tip: request a sea view

On arrival had to wait 1 hour for our room to be ready but was fine as had a drink at pool bar. Rooms were exactly as you see in broucher. Spacious, good comfi beds, nice clean bathroom with fresh towels every day and cleaned every day. Would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities like you do in this country. We were on 7th floor and overlooked San Antonio and the bay. Was lovely view.

The Food and drinks were fab. Plenty of selection and even did my Martini extra dry. We had a picnic on several days and although we changed some of the rolls (from white to brown) it had an excellant selection of fillings with fruit, cake, water presented in a nice brown paper carrier bag.

I found the area let this hotel down. The so called beach was not the best so didn't use it at all. There was a nice little bay called Port de Torrent about 20 mins walk away so went there. But beware the sunbed there was 7 euro each. Also went to Calla Conta which you get to by boat (9 euro each return) there the sunbeds were 8 euro each. It is a beautiful beach though and well worth a visit. The surrounding area with shops, bars and restaurants was not my cup of tea. Found it quite run down so did not venture out to much.

All in all had a lovely holiday and would go back to the hotel but the area would put me off.

Room Tip: Have a high room overlooking sea in either building

we always book self catering but this time from cardiff the holiday was £80 each cheaper than bristol for half board....10 nights.. yes you read right , doesnt happen often i know so book it i did and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and evening meals... delicious , so much choice carvery every night (apart from paella ) once or twice..plenty of all types of fish etc and buffet help yourself all u like....sorted..complex was spotless , room overlooked the beach and pools and weather albeit cloudy a few times (and yes rained a little for an hour) but generally 27 degrees and beautiful... bay was a tad scruffy with hotels that need finishing so outlook not good. town at the end of the street very small with same old same old touters for drinks and sooo quiet now in oct .. with the prices down and weather so good you`d think it would be overly busy but noooo.. no atmosphere with a lot of places already closed for the year,,,,???..

This was our third visit to the Milord and we had a great time! A big thanks goes to the staff, quite a few have been there for some time and also for the amazing room we were given. Can't fault the food, plenty of choice and never had any problems finding a table, again staff were always there to help. Hotel is spotless, rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. My little boy lost his favourite teddy and the maids came to the rescue and found Teddy in the laundry and they were both reunited! We were AI and had no problems with drinks, friendly staff at pool bar, some of the staff must do really long hours, you see them throughout the day and the are also there in the evening.

Plenty going on during the day if you want to take part, no pressure to join in if you just want to sunbathe, evening entertainment was ok, my little boy enjoyed the mini disco and the entertainment staff do try hard

We love the location of the Milord and enjoy taking the taxi bought over to SA, no problems with noise at night but people do need to learn to use manners and if there is a queue join the back of it! We had been quite nervous after reading previous reviews about the rooms being robbed a few months back but hopefully this has been a one off incident, we didn't experience any problems and are currently looking at availability to return next year.

Give it a try!
