“Not as expected but great place to stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

Myself and a mate stayed at the Hotel Puchet (2wentys Max) at the end of May 2014, just before the start of the Summer season and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We stayed a week and would highly recommend the hotel. Stayed on a Room Only basis and I must say the room was as good as any I've stayed in. Certainly more comparable to a hotel room you'd expect in Britain than some of the horror stories you hear about abroad. TV, WiFi, shower, balcony and cleaned daily; more than we could have expected for the bargain price tag.

The hotel staff were all extremely friendly, especially Ana who worked at the pool bar. The reps were as expected from a holiday company who cater for wild holidays but were professional with it. Robbie from 2wentys was excellent on both the nightlife side of things and making sure that the guests who didn't come for a wild time were equally well catered for. Rocket and Grace were both brilliant fun and helpful when it came to needing anything.

Breakfast was included in the cost but after coming in a couple of hours before it was served, we never tried it. The food bought at the pool bar was tasty enough and reasonably priced, no complaints. A large plastic beaker (larger than a pint) of Kopparberg came to €5 and was on draught, very nice to have it chilled by the pool.

The only criticism I would have is the number of sunloungers available. I found it very hard to get anywhere near a lounger after about 10.30am as they were either taken or "reserved" by a towel. Other than that, I could have no complaints with the hotel and would definitely make a return visit if I was to return to Ibiza.

Having stayed at this hotel before, I can honestly say I will never return. What used to be a lovely family hotel has now become a typical 18-30 hotel (infact it is almost all Thomson 2wentys now). not a place to relax and please do not stay here if you have young children. the music is blaring, the 2wentys 'guests' are just that, young party go-ers that drink excessive amounts all day by the pool, swearing, bad behavior and totally disregard of others. I have to say this is the worst holiday I have had at what used to be a lovely hotel. if you want a party then this is right for you. location is perfect and the hotel itself is clean. staff are good and service is great. I feel the hotel has sold its soul to Thomson and will never be able to recover should they decide to step away from 2wentys. sadly, for 'grown ups' and families this is not for you.

Room Tip: any room is good for young party goers, no room is good for adults or families

Nevertheless we take note about your comments which are our best help to improve our standards.

Myself and my partner visited this hotel last year and it was lovely. Chilled and relaxing during the day, even the DJ played "chilled" tunes, and the families and couples all seemed to have a nice time. Not now, although they don't say on their web site, they now have a Twentys contract so a large proportion of the guests are groups of young party animals. The poolside music has changed, the DJ saying "enjoy the pool party", I think they did, as there were couples simulating sex, debris in the pool, all the sunbeds taken, drinking around the pool from dawn! The Twentys rep said over the microphone "this is a Twentys hotel" and then told everyone to drink vast amounts of alcohol, get pissed and smash girls back doors in! The holiday was horrific and we spent the last couple of days in another hotel's pool area. I know Ibiza is a party island, but I would not like to spend a holiday with them. Hotel Puchet should say this is now a party hotel and that it is not suitable for children nor people who do not want to drink heavily all day or want their back doors smashed in! We will not be back!!

When you think of a reasonably priced hotel in San Antonio you might shudder at the thought of the state of the hotel. Not in this case, we paid £380 each (including flights) for 1 week b&b with 2wentys. had everything I wanted and needed, free wifi, free aircon which isn't even really needed as the rooms aren't stuffy... Breakfast was good even though I stuck to the same thing everyday (picky eater) pool bar was overpriced but then we'd go to the onsite supermarket which was way cheaper. Enough sunbeds if people aren't selfish, and the poolside guy was always making sure people had sunbeds, moving them around so people can sit together. Security guard at night keeping people quiet when they came in noisy. Beds were perfect! Would have put them in my suitcase if I could!! And a shower that actually attached to the wall so you could use both hands, had a leak in one corner but could easily avoid leakage.. Balcony doors kept out noise but if people were in the hallways they sounded as if they were in your rooms. Rooms cleaned everyday and fresh towels and bedding everyday too. Perfect distance from the strip, not too far but not in the hustle and bustle with all the annoying pr's. We walked passed the other 2wentys hotel and I'm glad we stayed here. Only point I would make is that it should really be exclusively for 2wentys because well we all know what they're like. Hotel reps were perfect and rocket was the best rep we could have asked for!!

First of all I realise that many places treat the English tourist on lads holidays as idiots and quite frankly I cannot blame them as we tend to behave completely inappropriately. In the case of Hotel Puchet though this is not the case, the staff where warm and friendly and some even gave us a hug when we left...

Whilst the food is average at best the rest of the stay was superb, the room was clean and tidy and the cleaners friendly as well as the complimentary bottle of coke and vodka left in our room which I felt was a nice touch!

The music by the pool during the day is of a reasonable volume but does not interfere with the quiet of your room when trying to get some rest. The pool area is clean and tidy and pool very deep at one end so you can happily jump in no problems :-)

There are some other recreational activities such as pool / snooker available if you seek something different.

Added bonus is that the air con is also included free of charge! There is free WiFi however signal is intermittent at best...

I would recommend this hotel as one of the best I witnessed when in San Antonio. The only down side being it is slightly out of the way, although only by 10 mins walk or so...

Room Tip: The block above the shop is probably the smarted / best kitted out from speaking to other guests :-)

Stayed at the Puchet with my friend for our first girls holiday in July 14 and had a great time! Very clean, modern hotel. Good Wi-Fi connection. Regular DJ Danny Barry by the pool 3 times a week playing great pumping holiday music from 11am all day. Need to get sunbeds early as was sometimes difficult to get one later in the day but plenty of space to sunbathe if not. The white beds in the pictures are 30 euros and I only saw one person use them the whole time I was there - definitely not worth the money! Wouldn't suggest the hotel to families in peak season as it is more aimed at the younger crowd.

Location is about 15 minute walk from the strip, far enough away for a good nights sleep but close enough to walk (only 6 euros in a cab if you're feeling lazy!) bus stop is right outside hotel, as are a few supermarkets.

Beds are memory foam - so comfy! We had a disabled room which was huge - a double bed each! Fridge in the room and if you go with 2wenties they stock it with vodka, beer, coke & water on arrival which is a nice extra.

2wenties reps Rocket and Robbie are great and up for a good time whilst making sure everyone else does!

The hotel was 80% girls when we went so would prefer somewhere a bit more mixed next time and would probably stay a bit closer to the strip but would definitely recommend the Puchet and may return in future!

Room Tip: Disabled rooms on the ground floor of block 3 (2wenties block) are the best!

Had my reservations when we booked this Hotel, not that the hotel worried me but the reputation that the resort as a whole has.
Firstly the hotel - Its modern design was pleasing on the eye and much better than most in the surrounding area. Nice rooms, good bathrooms, comfy beds etc... all well set out and in walking distance of all that San Antonio has to offer but it has some issues that need addressing.
Firstly - it appears we have now over taken the Germans at sun lounger reserving. The guests have taken this to a different level (World Cup winners for certain) - Most sun loungers were reserved by 08:00 hrs which is fine if your staggering in from a night out at 5 in the morning throwing your towel on a bed and then surfacing some time in the afternoon to claim your prize. Only a minor issue as this meant we went to the beach most days which is far better. I did report the 'German Disease' to the Rep who recognised it was a problem and he will address (apparently) so feel free to abuse him if it still goes on.
Secondly - Sort the bloody doors out. This hotel has the noisiest doors ever even with slow closing mechanisms. This especially applies if your next to a bunch of young, excitable teenagers that like to have full blown arguments in the early hours about broken suitcases, toothpaste and being left in a night club. These doors would wake up the living dead.
Thirdly - The breakfast was OK. Plenty of choice and quality is OK.
Lastly - The hotel staff were more then helpful. Very polite and always eager to help.
So, all in all the Hotel formed a good base to launch into the resort itself. And again eyes wide open. This was not the resort I thought it would be. It was probably better. At my age the days of partying are well behind me. Yes you could party all day and night if you wanted, and the glasses and watch selling community (you will see them) will probably do a roaring trade in the recreational side of things but so what. If that's your scene go for it. For us, we found enough in our 7 days stay to keep us occupied away from the nightlife scene. Cala Bassa is a stunning beach and well worth a visit. As is Ibiza town itself (just make sure you give yourself enough time there) and San Antonia old area has a certain attraction in itself. There are plenty of really nice places to eat - Special mention to the Tapas Restaurant & bar (excellent), Zebra Art & Grill Bar and Es Robust de Can Prats, all worth a try. The 'strip' itself is great. Plenty going on and enough sights and sounds to keep a people watcher occupied 24-7.
The beach is clean and tidy although the sun beds are bloody expensive so stick to the lounging on the sand.
So all in all - I always judge a holiday by asking would I go back - If I'm honest the answer is no. 7 days was enough and its onto a different scene next year for us, but I'm sure the younger generation this place ticks all the boxes and they will return many times.

Room Tip: Ask for quiet neighbours
