Only stayed for a few days then moved to another location in San An but what I saw of El Coto was OK. Pool and pool area only small and we didn't use it as weather wasn't too brilliant but seemed adequate. Rooms are clean and spacious, beds quite comfy and views not too bad from balconies. Nice to see sun shades that could be wound out although due to weather they proved quite useful for deflecting the rain! Rooms are probably in need of a bit of TLC and the bathroom in particular was very dark but everything was perfectly adequate.
Next door is a nice little bar / restaurant that does your normal bar style decent enough food, nothing too fancy. There's also a supermarket which is handy as the location is a little of the beaten track. The approach to the apartments is an unlit dirt track and quite unnerving in the dark, one of our party was approached on the way home but fortunately nothing happened, probably best to make sure you don't walk alone at night though.More
