“Fantastic food, excellent location and service”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

We found this restaurant which happened to be a stones throw from our hotel Bellamar which we had booked into half board, but when out strolling we found this and thought the location looked great and the menu looked delicious. We booked in on our first night and were not disappointed. The restaurant has an open air terrace which overlooks san antonio bay, it is beautiful, the service is fantastic and the food 1st class, things like cod with citrus salad, ravioli with mushroom and pesto and sweet onion, goats cheese stack with chargrilled vegetables, tarte tatin which was fab. The pork is gorgeous, the steaks good, the cava good, a 3 course meal was around 90 Euros including drink for 2 people. We ate at Aura while in ibiza which cost us 300 euros and the food there was no better than at S'Embarcador. Go eat here it is fab!

“Fantastic! Good food, service and great views. You MUST go here.”
Reviewed August 4, 2011

Please do not walk past this place - it is brilliant! Had two meals here during our week long stay in Ibiza and these were a pure highlight. I had the grilled chicken breast with a peppercorn sauce and Hubby had a grilled sirloin. We also ordered sauteed vegetables and fries to share. Bread, olives and aioli were placed on the table (not free but who cares) I had a cosmopolitan and hubby had a cold pint.
Food was delicious, chicken was moist, steak was cooked to perfection and vegetables and chips were excellent. There was plenty to share and we were full after the bread and main course. We returned two nights later for our last night and I had the same, Hubby had a T-bone. First visit cost 51 euros, second time it was 57 euros. This included drinks.
I have read one or two who did not feel the same and this is a pity - we had walked past this restaurant twice after glancing at the menu, but finally needed a change from the burger and chips type of food offered in most places.
We were pleasantly surprised by the prices - (after all a steak anywhere along the strip is upwards of 17 - 18 euros, and chicken comes in at 9 - 11 euros) and we had had a poor meal elsewhere the evening before (paying 10 euros for chicken and baked potato - both of which were cold.)
Chicken was 10 euros and steak was 17/18 euros but you are paying for the experience and view as well as the food, staff were attentive and service was great. Seating is available on the lawn area or on the first floor terrace which has great views of the famous sunset. A great respite from the noisy bars and 'pub' atmosphere of other local eateries and wonderful relaxing sofa loungers on the lawn for after dinner drinks.
Would definitely go back. Best meal in Ibiza.

“A RIP OFF FOR THE PRICE!”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

Beautiful scenic view of bay. lovely clean place but food is way overpriced for what you get. always very quiet and such a large restaurant. i wonder why...? myself, husband and two boys dined there beginning of july. we both fancied a big juicy fillet steak each and had looked at the menu before going in, 22euros each,, we thought until we went in and realised that price was only for the piece of steak and nothing else! i chose sauteed veg and hubby chose salad approx 4 euro. when it came it was tiny! we were glad they'd gave us bread but when we got the bill 86 euro we noticed we had to pay for the complimetary bread! the kids got fried chicken and chips which were 10 euro for rubbish. the steak should have been much larger than what we got. we complain about prices in england but we know what size portions to give. we all came away feeling hungry still and won't be returning again!

“Best restaurant of the holiday.”
Reviewed July 16, 2011

We passed this place on the way into San Antonio (its on the main coastal path from San Antion bay) There was a wedding taking place at the time and we thought it would be good to eat there one evening. There is a nice lawn upto the restaurant and we sat upstairs. The view was lovely but we worried there weren't many people there dining. I had a steak which was delicious. The view across the harbour was lovely and we both enjoyed everything about this restuarant. 2 meals with a drink each was about 50 euro.

“Great ambience & food to match, served with a cracking ice cold pint"”
Reviewed October 6, 2010

Walk passed ibiza rocks bar and passed Bay bar towards the windmill and you'll find S'embarcador. We visited this restaurant twice while in ibiza (sept10-18th) as really enjoyed the place. Chilled surroundings overlooking the bay and i have to say this place served the best lager on the island as i found it to be near undrinkable in most other venues, ice cold and lively.A posh nibble is on the house which we both enjoyed as you mooch over the menu i had T-bone steak and the girlfriend went for sirloin, both well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent without being over the top(which i hate at some places).A couple of large beers a soft drink, water and a bottle of good spanish wine with the meal and bread came to around 65 pound which was very good concidering our surroundings and the quality of food and service. If your in San Antonio and fancy a good meal then this is a great choice and reasonably well priced too.
