“A bit pricey for what it has to offer”
Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at Casa Teo for 3 night. The rooms are ok, not too small, they are clean(the cleaning Lady came every day), but nothing too fancy. The food at the restaurant is excellent, I highly reccomand it, it's far bitter than at the 4* hotel nearby. The staff is very friendly.
Overall, it was a nice staying at Casa Teo.

Been there for a weekend in November 2012 with some friends and we were welcome by friendly staff. In charge is a young guy-Mr.Claudio-and he is some kind of wizard, he will make sure that everybody will enjoy at maximum every moment.
The Chef there is excellent and his fish menu is always fresh and tasty. Local wine is also excellent.
Rooms are large enough and clean.
If you want to spend a weekend or few days having good food and services just go there.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are fitted with ceiling windows and gives you a claustrophobic feeling.

We booked a short trip in the delta and came across Casa Teo and I am pleased to say that we were impressed. the rooms were very clean and the staff was very pleasant. the food was fresh and very tasty and they could cook exactly what you would like, even if the dishes were not on the menu. the team was very approachable and flexible with all the requests. The trip in the delta organized by the hotel was very nice and the fishing was an extraordinary experience. we would definitely go back there.

Room Tip: Definitely book a room with a river view, it is worth to wake up facing the river

The hotel is nice, pleasant and well service by pleasant peoples that want to help, but the hotel is far from "four-star hotel", and some weird things like room with no blinds, that in the morning sun illuminates them .... or workers that work at 6:00 out with big noise....

Room Tip: make sure your rooms are up levels..

We drove here from Bucharest and arrived during a particularly stormy evening. It's in a beautiful spot and our room overlooking the river with our own balcony outside was good. The decor furniture and fittings were sort of worn and looked scruffy. Staff were fine but not as eager to please as Christina in Bucharest. We had booked for 4 nights but left after 3 because we had done all we wanted to and had a particularly disappointing trip in the Delta organised by the hotel. I know, it wasn't their fault we didn't see the quantity of birds & wildlife we had hoped for, but our boatman spoke no English ( we spoke no Romanian) & was obviously bored (yawning, smoking and making calls on his mobile) for the whole 3 -4 hours. Perhaps we should have accepted the much cheaper offer from the English-speaking local guy who accosted us when we were in the nearby town to go out in his boat, but...!
We slept well and the room was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit smelly and and in need of a makeover. Breakfasts were a guessing game because nothing was visible, just the menu, but actually I think we could have had anything we wanted. We just didn;t know what to ask for. Also, the beds weren't made when we arrived, just covered with a bedspread, but I found duvets in the wardrobe. When the room was cleaned the beds weren't made which seemed odd. Not a problem, just odd! I think it was better than average by UK standards but not very good by Romanian!

Very friendly staff, there was delicious fish in the restaurant (the catfish and carp both very good) and a reasonably priced boat trip. (100 lei per person for 4 hours in a 9 person boat.)
