We stopped for dinner while passing through Craiova. We ordered traditional Romanian dishes and the house specialties.
The soup portions were huge, probably 0.7 liters per person.
Very tasty. The fresh baked Turkish bread was also nice.
The main course were also huge.
The mixed fried plate, the smoked spare ribs, the mashed beans with fried sausages, all had plenty of side dishes and were more than enough. The service was friendly and quick enough, well paced.
The only down side was the dessert - the traditional pastry with sour cream and jam (papanasi) were too well done, thus not soft as they should. Also, the chocolate cake was not very chocolately, more mousse like.
The prices are average for the region. Usual tip is 10%.
After 6pm they have a live band and lady singer performing traditional Romanian music.
