We found this gem hidden away in a small alley in Seia. It is a well-known local institution, so we can't be credited with "discovering it". Nonetheless, we arrived for lunch on January 1st, one of the busiest of the year, with five children (2 couples). Not only were we received with open arms, the staff immediately started making some creative adjustments to the space to fit us all. Then, as we ordered, they not only had a the sort of patience one needs when serving a table with children, but even went as far as engaging the kids directly and basically take over that task. The food started coming, and it was spectacular: chicken broth soup, roast kid (baby goat, not one of the children!), bacalhau, steak with mushroom sauce, grilled fish, chocolate mouse, leite creme: all simply divine! And throughout, the staff were very attentive, prompt, friendly and charming with the children. I will come back, thank you!!
