“Perfect luxury in every way.”

A week spent at the Vila Vita Parc is a week where your only care is deciding which restaurant you'll try next, which part of the resort you'll visit next, and which services you'll try. The staff is highly attentive but never intrusive, friendly but not familiar, helpful, courteous, and just outstanding. The grounds are perfectly maintained, the suites impeccable, the breakfast buffet and offerings varied, and the food in the restaurants is top notch. The gym and the spa were wonderful, the suggestions at the front desk for excursions helpful and never pushy, the friendly smiles everywhere made my daughter and me feel very welcome. I've stayed at a number of places around the world, and really, Vila Vita is one of the finest we've experienced. Really something for everyone, as much for couples as families with small children or those with teenagers. The layout of the resort means it never feels claustrophobic or crowded, and the place is kept absolutely spotless. Honestly, nary a shadow of a complaint about anything.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Oasis Park--perfect for mother/daughter, as we had a private garden and an enormous...

Booked last minute but arrived to find that the main hotel was closed. This did not impact on our week at all and the staff could not have been more helpful. We were upgraded to a suite with the most amazing view and enjoyed going to sleep listening to the waves crashing below.
It is the most beautiful location and we enjoyed every part of the trip. Everyone is so friendly and just walking around the beautiful grounds makes you smile. Everything is spotless and the attention to detail incredible. We had wonderful weather with 20 - 26c every day and about two hours rain all week.
We ate in Armacao most evenings preferring to soak up the Portuguese atmosphere and the excellent and incredibly cheap local fish restaurants.
Will definitely return next year

Room Tip: Suites in The Residence are superb with the best views

We've just returned from an amazing time at this hotel.

5 star rating is not enough!

Food; excellent with lots of choice. Seafood beach restaurant is a must

Palm bar; staff attend to your every need.

Service; swift and unpretentious

Rooms; perfect in every way. Go for Oasis premium with roof terrace. Sunrises and sunsets are perfectly viewed from the terrace

Kids club; warm, welcoming and friendly

Spa; lots of opinions and beautifully relaxing

Hairdressers; good fast service but language limiting so I did end up with not the cut I completely wanted.. My fault really as my French is not good and Portuguese non-existence to fully explain what I wanted.

Only two issues;

1. some kids roaming around around ages of 8-12, jumping in and out of pools on their way past and using colourful language. Where are the parents? Why does the hotel think it's acceptable to allow this? I had to explain to my 8 year old that the example these children set wasn't the way to behave.

2. If you have a late in the day flight there is no where to get changed and prepare for your flight if you've had a day by the pool or beach.

Would we go back? Of course

I have never written a review for Tripadvisor before but felt I needed to write to describe how incredible our holiday has been at Vila Vita Parc. We are a family of 5 (kids aged 8,10 and 12) and have been fortunate enough to stay in many luxurious places around the world but none compares to this. We decided to book the smallest private villa as the price difference between the villa and two interconnecting rooms wasn't huge and the villa came with its own pool and a variety of other 'perks' including free transfers, credit towards the spa and an amazing butler service. A few days before arrival, Roberto sent me welcoming and helpful emails to organise the transfers and answer my questions. He efficiently organised a birthday cake for my husband which was served with a complementary bottle of champagne and jug of freshly squeezed orange juice (which was delivered with a smile and 'Happy Birthday' sung in portugese by the lovely pool staff).

We were met on arrival by the wonderful Domingos who allowed us to check in directly at the villa and had made a reservation for dinner for us - he drove us there in his golf buggy (the children LOVED the buggies). The next morning we met the equally wonderful Pedro who is also part of the hospitality team and for whom nothing was too much trouble - ranging from laying out a proper table for room service to replacing the fruit on a regular basis (noticing we don't like Papaya) to helping get a splinter out of my daughter's foot. Franciso - also part of the hospitality team - was also exceptionally kind and attentive and in such a way that was warm, friendly and genuine, as were all the staff. As one of may possible examples, when we talked about buying a football, Sandra at reception found one for us to borrow; Antonio overheard the children asking me for a buggy and appeared with one like magic. The villa itself was enormous and kept to the highest standard of cleanliness by a smiling housekeeping team including Teresa. Indeed, the entire hotel is immaculate and despite being full to capacity, it never felt crowded.

The kids club is welcoming and the people working there kind, friendly and flexible. There are options of tennis, football, volleyball, golf and even rockclimbing. The food was delicious for adults and children with a range of healthy and less healthy (but popular!) menu choices. On one occasion, the lovely bartender Osvaldo served the children their lunch on a tray so they could eat it lying down on a swing bed overlooking the pool! On another, the poolman brought over towels to the children in the Jacuzzi so that they would be available as soon as they got out of the pool. Even the lady in the little boutique was kind and caring with my daughter's prickly heat rash and found the right soothing cream. Unlike other places I have stayed in, I never felt 'ripped off' and indeed the holiday provided value for money, particularly with the discount for returning guests. Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was amazing- Domingos met us in the golf buggy to take us back home after a night at the beach restaurant; Pedro drove us specially to the restaurant a couple of days later - and it made the holiday incredibly special. Pedro and Domingos are absolutely fantastic at their job and we named the two swans after them - we hope the names stick for the next time we come to visit.

Room Tip: If you can have a villa, it makes it an exceptional holiday

Why do not more people come here in March?!!!

Just returned from a four night stay that ticked all of the boxes you'd expect from a 5 Star hotel.

The service was spot on - attentive without being painfully awkward - really helped us to feel right at home. The breakfasts were enormous but not at the cost of quality. To top it all there was wall to wall sunshine and 24C temps the whole time, enabling us to enjoy the exquisite facilities including complimentary pitch and putt and heated outdoor pool.

Flights from Gatwick to Faro were easy and it was just a 30 minute transfer to the hotel.

If you need to recharge your batteries but want stuff to do then do this. It's a very special place.

Room Tip: Look out for the Spring Specials on their website

We visited in March when it was very quiet indeed. The main building is being refurbished and some of the facilities were restricted. However the staff were lovely, the food excellent and the gardens manicured. The location is delightful too and we would certainly consider returning again - maybe not in the full season but the spring or autumn are very appealing. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were a large party, with an age range from 16 - 67. We are lucky to have stayed in several 5* resort hotels, and The Vila Vita is probably our overall favourite. We stayed in their entry level garden view rooms which were spacious, well furnished with well equipped bathrooms. Food in all restaurants was first class, although if you did not take the half board option could work out quite expensive. The choice of restaurants is comprehensive. The hotel does have a beach restaurant which we tried one night. Unfortunately, the presence of numerous mosquitoes resulted in all of us being bitten several times. Whilst the environment of the restaurant is "open air" with windows open, they really need to do something more effective to combat this problem. We were told that the problems with mosquitoes was not "normal" but I wouldn't be going back without a choice of repellent. There was a problem with mosquitoes in the hotel grounds too, but far less severe than at the beach restaurant. The hotel has access via a rugged pathway to it's own beach - but some guests may find this walk a physical challenge. The beach at certain times of year (or certain sea conditions) can be prone to huge amounts of seaweed being washed ashore and in the water. Unfortunately this was the case in July when we were there. one of the "stand out" features of the hotel is the friendly service demonstrated by all the staff that we came in contact with. Staff remembered everyone's name, favourite drinks and seats etc, all of which add to the overall enjoyment of this great hotel. We didn't stray far from the hotel as we were unable to find many places that we were happy going to within walking distance. I would therefore recommend either half board, or a small budget for taxi's to get you "out and about"

Room Tip: Entry level rooms were absolutely fine for our party.
