This was very much our 'needs must' after our preferred choice the lovely Kolowrat Hotel just over the border in Slovakia was full. Travelling with our 9 month old we needed a room.
Let's journey back to the communist era where places like this were probably considered a luxury. Dated decor, musty smelling carpets, mouldy bathroom, food you would not feed a pig, even if you didn't like the pig, a very basic menu, most dishes on the menu they did not have, food stops at 7pm and this is smack bang in the middle of the ski season.
All the above we could have ignored if it was not for the miserable staff and the paper thin walls of the rooms with a bunch of partying pre-pubescent children in the room next door until the wee small hours, all because their parent were too busy getting smashed in the bar. I did complain to the receptionist about the noise but she could not have shown any more disinterest if she had tried.
There were some very dubious stains on the carpet as well.
It was about minus 4 outside and on reflection even with a 9 month old we would have been better off in the car or building our own igloo.More
