We came here to have a fine but light dinner. Started off with a bottle of Masuret sparkling wine for the first course. Slightly sweetish, but a good match to the local food of this region.
Our two starters (important to taste according to this sequence)
1. Potato Gnocchi with Scallops and cream sauce - don't under estimate this dish by its rather simple look - it is absolutely delightful.
2. Duckbreast Salad, lovely for the eyes and the taste.
The choice for my main course was clear - Spaghetti alla Vongole, a wonderful light dish, which i simply love. A good Valpolicella Classico red wine to complete the gourmet experience, and we were as happy as could be.
For the dessert I opted for just one scoop of the Lemon Gelato - and what a wonderful finish with a little balance of the sparkling wine poured over it.
