Architecturally very interesting hotel, with intriguing history and preserved look and feel from the 50's when it was built (it's authentic, not old!). Very nice staff. Super comfortable bed and room temperature, we had the best sleep there throughout our entire holiday in the Dolomites (we stayed in several different places). The views from the balcony are stunning. The hotel is far from the town, but it compensates with compete peace and quiet, being set among pine trees and offering free heated pool access. Highly recommended, but don't expect modern luxury.

Though the location is great the room is okay
The food is terrible.
I am not sure that they have a chef on premises
The food is so bad that I doubt it the pets will dare to eat it.
The food at dinner is cold and not eatable the soup is not tasty and all the ingredients are not fresh.

This hotel is set against the backdrop of the alps and a few miles from cortina. Views from our balcony were breathtaking. The staff were polite and helpful, however the hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Our room had a balcony that could only be reached by making a large jump up (little stairs would be helpful) to a platform that lead to the balcony itself. There was a wardrobe that was worn and dirty and we found items belonging to a previous guest clearly visible on the floor underneath it. The bathroom was small and smelt of drains, it had not been cleaned to a particularly high standard. Breakfast was situated down in the basement and had the appearance of a school canteen. Choices were limited and the food was of a cheap quality.
All in all it was not worth the money to stay at this hotel.

This hotel is located a few minutes from the city. Its in the foot of the mountain and the forrest is the closest neighbour.
The breakfast was normal and nothing to complain about.
The service on the staff was very good.
The rooms is big and have an own balkong.
Free wifi and a chill lobby.
The swimming pool is located in an spa 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Might be god to know if planing a stay in the winter.

Best best best location in the mountains. Exactly what we wanted - in the middle of the forest but yet few min. Drive from everything. Peaceful, perfect view, amazing staff which provided us with all our necessities upon request. Very very clean. Lovely place highly recommended.
