“Best italian meal!”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

The food was absolutely fabulous. Everything is freshly made from scratch in a true italian fashion. Some of the dishes you will only find in this type of small family restaurants. The prices are more than reasonable. The service is very good, Sergio takes time to explain what he will prepare for you and which of the local wines will fit best with your meal. You will sell yourself short if you visit the Montecarlo region and don't have a meal here!

“Delicious pasta dishes made by hand”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

We stopped in for lunch on a Monday, and it was such a pleasant experience that we returned 5 days later. Donatella and Sergio, a husband-wife team, make their delicious pasta by hand. We had the tagliatelle paired with funghi and "al pellegrino" with lightly cooked vegies and Tuscan sausage. Also wonderful were the tortelli with a flavorful slow-cooked ragù. Save room for dessert and try the mattonella, a kind of semifreddo with pine nuts and garnished with caramel. The small dining room is attractive and cheerful; there is a terrace for outside dining. Service is friendly and welcoming; we felt like we were dining with family. So when you're in Montecarlo, take a few steps down the hill off the main piazza, discover this little treasure for yourself, and enjoy a great meal in good company!

“What a wonderful gem!”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

We stopped into Queens in Montecarlo and were greeted by a husband and wife (Sergio and Donnatella) who clearly love to cook. It comes through not only in the food (which was superb) but also in their spirit. I recommend the pasta which is made fresh daily. Sergio explained he had seen his grandmother make fresh pasta ever since he was a little boy, and let me tell you, it was fabulous. It may sound like a cliche, but in this case could not be more true. We have had many meals already in Tuscany, and this meal was truly exceptional.

“Delightful”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

I only spent a short time in this pretty hilltop town, but would definitely recommend this restaurant to any visitor. It's family run, very friendly and the food is excellent. Try the home made pasta - I know every Italian restaurant reckons theirs is superior, but in this case it may be true.
As well as the immediate family (owner-chefs), you may be lucky and get a visit from one of the extended family, like the opera-singing uncle, who provided very unexpected entertainment on my visit.
