Description: The Concept of our restaurant is to combine the traditional tuscan kitchen with the fantasy and the gastronomic mastery of our Starred Chef Francesco Bracali. Meat and vegetables are the focus of our kitchen, and we prepare our dishes with typical and esteemed ingredients: pink chickpeas from Reggello, saffron from San Gimignano, onions from Certaldo, steaks from Agricola San Felice Farm. Our guests can pick a tasting wine from our wine list, witch is particularly rich of Tuscan and Italian esteemed wines. The room and the service will satisfy a demanding clientele. The Poggio Rosso Restaurant, closed to two ancient chapels, is also an ideal location for classy weddings and ceremonies. Come and visit us in the heart of Chianti Classico.

Sophisticated romantic setting in the toscan hills of Chianti, San Felice is a gem. With the beautiful view of the tuscan hills the sunset viewed from the terrace of San Felice is quite spectacular. We found the cuisine to be a wonderful mix of traditional italian with the added inspiration of the 2 michelin star chef Francesco Bracali. The result being the perfect balance of authenticity and modern cuisine. We were lucky enough to be recommended the wine of the maison San Felice who produces apart from the traditional chianti classico one of the best brunello di Montalcino. Don't hesitate to end your dinner with the Bracali tiramisu accompanied by a glass of vin santo produced by the house... heavenly experience

Ate while staying at the hotel.
Although the total hotel experience was magnificent, we felt the evening main restaurant to be ultra expensive, lacking in choice, quantity and wow factor that we were expecting.
In fact, it was one of our poorer meals while on a week's vacation trip to Tuscany.
The food was so scarce that my 2 kids left hungry after eating 3 plates.
Did not go back.

Get ready for "Wow". San Felice has it all general manager, Aquila, runs a tight ship and it shows up in service that is attentive but not obsequious; food that is elegant without being pretentious; and breathtaking, meticulously maintained buildings and grounds.

In the words of Aldo Gucci "quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.". If you can go to this place, go for a long weekend. If you cannot spare that amount of time make at least a stop for dinner. You will be impressed with the dining staff. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to be served by Verena Brogi, the soul of the kitchen. I won't ruin it for you but here's a hint: you might try the artichoke and sweetbread risotto paired with a 2008 Vie de Romans. In that ment you may be convinced that Italian is spoken in heaven.

Don't miss this.
