“Tuscan style with Michelin precision”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

My family were lucky enough to be in a villa within walking distance of this lovely restaurant. Out of the 4 of us no one eats meat and one won't eat fish either. The restaurant constructed a fabulous tasting menu around our needs we were wowed by course after course of tasting delights. It was so exciting not to have to go through a menu with a fine tooth comb and we just relaxed and let the meal unfold. The sommelier gave us excellent advice as to which wine to choose and the evening felt very special. The owner and staff attend to you'd needs thoughtfully and they seem to preempt your every wish. I believe people travel far to this restaurant and I would recommend you do that. If is essential to book.

“Beautiful night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

The most professional meal we had in Tuscany. Chef/owner walked from table to table talking through menu with customers. Service was very attentive. Wine list was local and very good. Decanted the older reds we ordered. The ravioli with egg was incredible. Beautiful courtyard. Is a little pricey, with wine was 100 Euros/person, but worth the cost.

“Tuscan gem with a French twist”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2014

We first came here over twenty years ago when on a walking holiday and it was a simply magical meal, one of the best ever, with the front of house as theatre, by Franco, the French chef's husband, sadly now unwell, pouring unsolicited wines and shaving truffle on everything. We walked for over an hour to get there and walked back in a star lit night. Now that was romantic.
I took the whole place for my 60th birthday party a few years ago as well.
I guess you could say we like it!
Over the last few years, the meals have been somewhat the same, if still quite delicious.
Howeverr, we were there for the last night before returning to the uK. There are some new dishes by a new chef, Nadia, but happily, the signature poached egg/ricotta giant ravioli in truffle sauce is still there. Black chick pea soup with langoustine somehow worked and veal cheeks is a fashionable new comer as well. As annual regulars, We were not allowed to choose anything, so no menu this time.
Front of house was the Chef owner, as the sommelier was on compassionate leave, and she recommended some excellent local Chiantis which were not over expensive, (our Swiss friends with whom we usually come go for high end wines which can become expensive at the end of a holiday).

“Charming Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2014

We ate here recently as we were staying in the area at Borgo San Felice, and based on other TA reviews, and the were not wrong, it really is worth making a trip to the restaurant
When we arrived my wife was given a glass of prosecco and myself a fresh orange juice whilst the owner offered to lead us through her selection of dishes from the menu. We just let her take the initiative and we were not disappointed. We have dined at some of the best restaurants in the UK and the quality here matches them, our advice would be ignore the menu and let them select for you

“"Excellent Food"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014

One of the best Resturants I have ever been to. Hidden away in the hills of Tuscan countryside this beautiful Resturant is not to be missed. We were greated by the owner/chef who lead us to a beautiful outdoor court yard that was the perfect place for a lovely meal. They have quite a big menu but we opted to have the chef cook for us, no decisions she brought wonderful dishes each one was better than the next.
