This is the restaurant at the villa we stayed (Villa Curina). Great views of Tuscany and at the far end the city of Siena. We had the florentine steak which was very delicious and nicely cooked. However a bit overpriced at 50 Euros per person (not having a bottle of wine, just two glasses).

We sat on the outside deck facing west with sweeping views of the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves. Bella!

Beautiful building. Very cordial wait staff. The owner explains the menu, offers excellent advice about the wines and takes the meal order. His recommendations on the Chianti Classicos were spot on. Small menu of about half a dozen antipasti, primi, and secondi. Dishes were artfully prepared and the ingredients very fresh. 30 egg pasta was a standout. Very good desserts.

The only rub is that while there isn't any smoking inside restaurants in Italy, it is permitted for outside-seated patrons. For those of us who hate the smell of smoke, the person sitting at the next table smoking can ruin an otherwise delightful evening.

We were treated to the best food we had in Italy. The owner allowed us to sample almost everything on the menu, so we know that it is all amazing. The food is all fresh and local and prepared to perfection. Each appetizer was unique and amazing (try the tomato soup). There was not a pasta we didn't love and the entrees were delicious. The owner carefully helped us to select our wine so that we could experience wines from different regions, compliment our meal perfectly, and took our taste into consideration. Wish we could go back this weekend!

The restaurant is next to Villa Curina in a beautiful country side setting. The food is just amazing. Creative marrying of flavors, ingeniuous presentation, magical experience.

This will soon be known as "the place to dine" If you are anywhere near or fortunate enough to be staying at Villa Curina, you must experience. As good as Napa if not better!
