You really need to see it as the lght changes through the day the buildings change from Sand to Gold and back. Walking around Noto you can see many of the locations where Andrea Camilleri's Commissario Montalbano was set there are even some signs to show the scene filmed and quotes from the booksThe tiny Theatre is a gem as is the council room in the town hall
Ducezio an authentic tratorria no frills pizza, lots of other ice cream and cake stops...
The evening walk /passagata is when the shops and people come out it worth just walking up and down a few times to get the feel of the place in the evening before eating ( at no time have I or my wife felt uncomfortable it is safe and clean with the occasial very smart policewo/man walking around)
It is well worth the trip to see. Stayed at Gardino del Barrocco loved it
