“Lovely - dont miss it”

If you have time for only one baroque city in Sicily - definitely choose Noto at sunset. It is really beautiful, second only to Rome. Don't miss it!

Wonderful baroque city - do go! So interesting and full of hidden treasures little cobbled streets, lots of walking - honey coloured stone. Romantic!

“Fantastic baroque town”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

Spend half a day in Noto, it is well worth the visit. Enter at least one or two of the many Baroque churches, look at the Palazzo buildings with beautiful balconies. Beautiful, yellow sandstone, baroque buildings everywhere! Takes half an hour roughly to go by car from Siracusa, park outside the gate.

“Baroque splendour”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

If you are in Syracuse it is less than an hour's drive to Noto and so worth the effort. The colour of the buildings is just as seen above. The main street is resplendent with similar buildings. We spent a couple of hours and had a drink in one of the many cafe's.

Not sure you would want to be based here or spend more than a day, but if architecture is your thing you'll love it
