“Beautiful serene hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

This hotel is tucked away in the olive groves about 9 KM outside of Noto. The hotel itself is comfortable and quiet. The pool is clean and beautiful. The food and service is quite good. My only criticism is that it is located 9Km outside of Noto and those 9KM are on windy uphill roads so it it really more like 20 minutes outside of Noto. We stayed at this hotel and took many side trips to the towns surrounding the hotel and found that we ended up adding 40 minutes to every trip we took due to the location. If you are going to go to this hotel for R&R and not taking trips to other towns, it is perfect, but if you are going to be using the hotel as a central post then I would consider something closer to Noto.

One of the best, most relaxing hotels in its category. We spend 8 nights in this small boutique olive farm close to Noto. And really wasn't enough. The hotel is allocated on a top of a hill after Noto (9 Km), you are inside the sicilian nature full of olive trees and smells with a view from the swimming pool to an old gorge. Spacious rooms with rustic deco and traditional pottery lamps. Traditional terracotta tiles indoors and sandstone outside. King-size bed and a door to paradise. The restaurant is just the best we have ever tried (Michelin). The swimming pool as it should be. Service as it should be, attentive but from a distance. The only black spot, if you can say so, it was the internet connection. Only in the main building!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the new wing that was build 3 years ago but all the rooms following the same philosophy

We spent 2 amazing summer nights and 3 days in this little piece of heaven close to Noto. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, no bathtub, but we didn't need any, the shower was enough. The masseria is located in the countryside so you feel like being in the middle of nowhere and you can enjoy the silence and birds chirping but you are actually very close to all of the attraction southern Sicily has to offer. 20 minutes car from Vendicari (see) 7 minutes to Noto, 35 minutes to Siracusa, Ragusa and Modica. They have a nice swimming pool and as the place is located on a hill it's quite fresh during the night, which is absolutely great during hot summer!
I can't see many downsides, it really depends what you are looking for. It's rather a young couple/ older couple/ single structure. I wouldn't go there with and kids (not so entertaining for them) or with friends looking for parties all night. Stuff is very kind and helpful and the food is amazing and quite cheap compared to the portions! I recommend it!

Room Tip: I wouldn't take the apartment. I would choose one of the double rooms

A peaceful olive farm hotel, north of Noto. Good base for the Baroque triangle. Spent five nights half board. Enjoyed the food, wine and service in the restaurant and breakfast on the terrace.
Gardens with mature olives and carob trees.
Free wi fi and parking. Room spacious and comfortable, situated around a lawned courtyard.

As usual mixed feelings. Somewhat fraught journey through Noto on a festival day trying to find the signs to the hotel. It is nine kms going north out of Noto by the way. The room was lovely with a high ceiling and the public rooms are airy and light. There is plenty of room to stretch out in the gardens and the altitude must be good on a hot day. I didn't miss the pool as there was a cool breeze but a family was complaining that the pool hadn't been filled yet. Most people ate in the restaurant which was fine though the service was eccentric.

Absolutely breathtaking grounds encompassing the beautiful hotel. To place in words would be vain! Therefore I will not reach the 200 word minimum. The place is amazing, worth every second, and the staff was much more than accommodating.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, the grounds were immaculate and the rooms were well appointed and clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious with a good choice; if you are staying for more than 3 nights it is possible to negotiate a half board deal.
The staff spoke good English, and were friendly and helpful.
This is an excellent area to stay as it offers peace and quiet but with good access to Siracusa and Noto as well as a wonderful scenic drive to Avola on the coast.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the reception/ dining room building.
