If you're looking for a back-slapping tourist trap, don't bother. Perhaps these people don't open up first time, but if, like me, you go there more than once, they'll recognise you and warm to you. They take their food seriously and creatively, and it's so beautifully dished up, I always take a number of photographs, ending, to her embarrassed amusement, with at least one of the hostess herself. There are one or two other places in Brúcoli, but none as authentic and heart-warming as this one. I wouldn't eat anywhere else for all the tea in China! Definitely one of the highlights of our annual visit to the island.
