We lived in the area for almost 2 years and always came back to this place and brought every one of our visitors too. The eggplant ravioli with pistachio cream sauce and the involtini di peace are delicious as is the calamari and the caprese salad. Great portions, great service, good prices. Pizzas are excellent too.

First night arrived at 2250 so just made it 10 minutes prior to closing ..ordered water for table, 2 glass red wine,2 starters of stuffed focaccia and mozarella and tomato ...ordered 2 mains consisting of 1 pizza and 1 pasta dish..at begining of meal we were asked if we would like dessert we said we would like dessert and were told it would take 20 minutes to make ..we did not order bread but bread did arrive for table.. The starters were nice, wine was amazing, water didnt ever arrive but the sweet arrived after the starters and it turned out the 2 mains of pizza and pasta had been forgotten about..all very bizzarre..very friendly waiter then proceeded to persuade me to try a drink called grappa which tasted like unleaded petroleum(or what id imagine unleaded petroleum to taste like)... Anyway at end of evening the food was ok, service a disaster and charged 5 euro for the grappa which i assumed would have been free and the over friendly waiter did not seem quite so friendly any more...very odd...
Next night we were a party of 6 as my girlfriends family joined us..as the food was ok the previous night we threw caution to the wind and hoped for the best but unfortunately for half the table food was not up to scratch ...Tried to get the same wine as previous night but could not get it as waiter recomended different wine..no bread was put on table this time..a very odd waiter slammed red wine into my glass, spilled over table with no apology..the service seems convoluted..unprofessional.. My advice would be to order starter , eat it, then order main, eat it, then order dessert, eat it then ask for bill... If you try and order it all in one try it will all come at different times.. The squid and prawn starter was a deep fried mess and the pasta seafood was a disapointment.. Focaccia not great but stuffed focaccia is good.. Pizzas aint bad ....
Overall a very mediocre experience..2 meals more than enough

Three nights as we were staying at the adjoining hotel.ambience great, food fantastic with a good choice of wines. For me, having hopf weissbier was a bonus. On the whole service wad efficient and courteous, but on our final night our desert (a nice chocolate souffle) was slammed down by the waiter in an extremely rude manner. I complained to a colleague who didn't appear to take our concern seriously enough. A very disappointing end to the evening. The restaurant would have earned 5 stars but service has to be marked down. Great food but watch out for the hormonally charged service by Gok Wan's italian cousin.

We went here the first night of our two weeks stay, tired and hungry, and had no expectations. Great surprise! Food was delicious. Typical ingredients from the area, and typical dishes with a personal touch. They obviously care a lot about their food and where the produce comes from. The Slow Food logo is also a good sign. Winelist is fine, we found a lovely proseco that followed us through the hole meal. At our second visit we found an Etna Bianco, good prices. Service is not up standard, but this is probably because the staff speak very poor english and we speak even worse italian.

We stayed in the hotel, and were by default skeptical about eating in a hotel restaurant. Well, luckily this was not the case, it's a nice restaurant, good food and not at all pricey by local standards.

Oh and excellent atmosphere.
