The All Seasons is a new hotel of a new brand of Accor hotels world.

It is not in the city, so you have to travel with your own car or with a taxi.

The hotel is very modern and nice.

Breakfast is quite nice, you can findo all the main food you expect to find, nothing exepcional but a very good breakfast for the price.

Staff is very nice and helpful.

We only had some little problems:
- The air conidiotning sistem does vibrate a bit. Nothing terrible but it seems the vibraton comes from the main engine, not directly from the room engine, so we didn't report it.
- There was a bit of smell entering the room, we suppose it is something in the water, like sulfur. It is nothing that 5 minutes of open windows cannot solve.
- One of the bed light did't work
- Shower soap was finished, we asked for it and staff immediately replaced it.

As a resume we enjoyed our stay, we payed a good price and we suggest this modern and simple hotel in this area, in our opinion better than older, classical and more expensive hotel.

During our tour of Sicily, we booked this hotel for 3 days, but liked it so much we stayed for an extra 2 days, rather than move to a fancier hotel with a pool.

The hotel design is very modern, quirky, minimalistic, and perhaps more suited to a younger or business clientele. It would probably be described as a "budget" hotel (we paid €65 per room per night, for two people including breakfast), but we found nothing cheap about it, quite the opposite in fact. I would describe it as an unpretentious hotel, no chandeliers or thick carpets and that sort of thing, just a focus on getting the basics right.

This is NOT the hotel for you if you want a hotel with a pool, or a fancy bar or restaurant or gym or spa, or a hotel that is in the centre of town, or if you don't have a car. You can see Mt Etna from the hotel though!

THE ROOM
We had booked just a double room, but were given a large room with two double beds. The room had a safe, but only one bin (in the bathroom), and no fridge or iron. Tea/coffee making facilities were provided, along with a 50cl bottle of water every day. We did find the room very warm though (in May), even with the air conditioning turned on. Of course, when you leave the room and take the key card with you, the air con turns off. The bathroom was well equipped, my only gripe being that the soap & shower gel provided (via dispensers on the wall) was very weak and watery. The windows did a good job of keeping out any noise from the nearby road.

We slept well (the beds were quite firm, by the way), but the first night we did get a 2am phone call(!) from reception because they though the smoke detector in our bathroom had gone off. There was some noise at the time from nearby rooms, so maybe someone was smoking in a nearby room and there was a fault (or manual error) in noting which room it was.

BREAKFAST
The breakfast was good, the usual selection of breads, juices, pastries, cheeses, cold meats, etc.

WI-FI
Wi-fi internet access is complimentary, but timed, so you have to remember to log out when you are finished. We were allocated 9 hours access for our initial 3 day booking. I presume we could have got more time if we needed it. Also, there was a PC at reception with internet access.

LOCATION
The hotel is located beside the SS114 road, just south of the centre of Acireale. When coming from the autostrada, our Sat-Nav took us through the narrow city streets, which was not fun, so when coming from the autostrada, the simplest route is to exit the autostrada and continue straight on Viale Cristoforo Colombo until you get to the SS114, then turn south. The hotel is not really walking distance to anything (except the shopping centre/supermarket almost next door), so you need a car (parking is free). The website says there is a partner pizzeria next to the hotel, but this is closed! Unlike other hotels in which we stayed in Sicily, we had no problems with mosquitos at the hotel, perhaps because it's in a more urban area.

STAFF
The reception staff were very jolly and helpful (esp. Violeta), and gave restaurant recommendations and directions. The hotel provides a sheet showing maps of the surrounding area at various scales, but take note that the positions of some towns and even of the hotel itself are incorrect on some of the maps!

Easily seen from the SS114 between Catania & Acireale with small white signs along the SS114. Easy access to Acireale, the Cyclops and Mount Etna
Very comfortable rooms, 2 queen beds for 3/4 people. Room tea/coffee making facilities a bonus and clean, spacious bathroom
Reception easy, small bar at reception and buffet breakfast fresh and easy
Friendly staff, recommended restaurant in Acireale rather pricey if you don't ask for a menu
Would stay again if in the region

We enjoyed our stay at the All Seasons for 2 nights. It is a very modern hotel chain with all the modern facilities. The front desk receptionist was very helpful, and the breakfast buffet is quite adequate for continental style (no cooked breakfast). They provide free internet at the reception and I think also have wi-fi facility. The rooms are very spacious verging o clinical side, but the beds are all king size & very comfortable. Plenty of car parking spaces if you can find the hotel.

The main problem is finding the entry to the hotel. You can see it from the main highway SS114. But the map on Tripadviser & Hotel.com are all wrong. The small road is not pick up on the Sat Nav, so we spent a long time trying all the exit off SS114 to find the way in. The best way is to turn off & follow the sign for the shopping mall opposite the hotel at Via Nationale per Catania, then follow the small sign to the hotel just after the main entrance to the mall. Don't bother trying to go down Via Madonna delle Grazie, its a single lane dirt track that seem to lead to no where.

Also they do not have restaurant or room service here, so you will need to drive into town for nearest restaurant, but the hotel can give 10% discount for recommended place to go. But its just a bit inconvenient.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have direct access to car park.
