My husband and I stayed fpr 3 nights along with our biking tour. We had a lovely stay. Hotel Palazzo Papaleo is really nice, and the lounge areas are very beautiful with old painted ceilings, which I loved. The managers and staff were very friendly, accomodating, helpful. The location is great, and we had a wonderful view of the water from the terrace off our room. I didn't use the hot tub, but I understand from one of the other ladies in our group that it was very nice. Breakfast was served on an outdoor terrace, overlooking the water. Breakfast was very nice, with wonderful home made tarts, local cheeses and ham. The beds were good, we slept well. We had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant next door, and a terrific private dinner arranged in the hotel. On sunday night, we were perfectly situated to participate in the evening stroll - when it seemed like everyone in town walked along the waterfront. Staying at Hotel Palazzo Papaleo in Otranto was wonderful.

The location of the hotel is spot on, as is the hotel itself - small but not cramped at all - and the room view overlooking the bay was splendid, and all the employees gave attention to detail that made the stay a sheer pleasure.

A great hotel with wery welcoming staff and good attention to detail.
The rooms are very charming and quiet; the delicious breakfast on the roof terrace -overlooking the old centre and the sea- just perfect!

great location ... room are all right but nothing special (small and outdated decor)
breakfast was highly dissapointing (not a taste of italy you would expect... but rather cheap mass market products)
and most of all not really worth the money they're asking for!!!

Dear Sirs,
We are really sorry that you didn’t like your stay in Hotel Palazzo Papaleo, may be it was too short to appreciate it (some people says that we are like the good wine, you need to drink it slowly and feel the taste after some time after opening…).
Our mission is to offer a beautiful stay and if somebody is not happy of our service, for us it’s like a failure. Usually our breakfast is appreciated from our guests and we always ask them if they like it or if they want something different… may be we didn’t do it with you and for this we apologize.
We thank you for your review and your suggestion, we will try to put more “Italian style” in our breakfast, as we think is the most important time of the day.
Warm regards
Marco Piccolo
Sales Manager

The only bad thing is the problems with luggages, the hotel is in the center of Otranto. No cars allowed. The service, anyway, help with the luggages both in arrival that in departures.

Great rooms, very good service and lovely peoples. Very kindly. On the roof garden the breakfast and a Jacuzzi, with a view of the gulf of Otranto, with the solarium.

Beautiful common rooms, with very nice furnishings. Nice perfume all over the hotel.
