I stayed her for two weeks during a Global Volunteer trip. The staff, the accommodations, and especially the dining (the chef and his staff in the restaurant) are all fabulous. When I checked out I felt like I was leaving a family and not going home to my own. The facilities are immaculate! The rooster in the morning as well as the train that goes by truly add to the ambiance of this family owned hotel. There is a grocery store across the street, making a little shopping very easy...Roseanna candies and misc. pasta souvenirs!
I left the day the day before the beach area this hotel manages opens, but I did get tour of the beach facilities and the beach facilities truly look second to none! Many staff from the hotel worked at the beach getting it ready for the season and they kindly took time out of their busy schedule to tour us around the facility that was going to open the next day!! Not if, but when I return to Monopoli, I'll definitely stay at Hotel Vecchio Mulino! A short pleasant walk from old town, maybe about a mile, but the staff and accommodations, make this hotel the best choice in Monopoli!More
