For the last 7 years my wife and I have lived in Italy. During that time we have traveled extensively throughout Italy and enjoyed many wonderful restaurants. Every once in a while we find a restaurant that is something extra special and San Domenico is one of those.
I had the fried mixed seafood secondo. The owner said everything was from that morning's catch. The batter was perfect and there was no grease. It was cooked perfectly. I can eat a lot but I could not finish the dish because the quanity was too much. All this quality and quanity for 10 Euros.
The restaurant is upscale and the service was perfect. It's a six hour drive from where we live to Monopoli, but I just might make that drive to eat at San Domenico
