Masseria Selvaggi

Totally recommend a stay at this delightful location. Our trullo apartment was well equipped and, as an added bonus, next door to the breakfast room and Gregorio's superb coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for our host, who was helpful to the extreme - never to busy to answer queries and give directions. The breakfast included in the rental was a delight - something different each morning, often with ingredients from the estate.
The location is fantastic, the pool inviting -, and the masseria convenient to the many attractive towns in the immediate vicinity - especially, the jewel, Savelletri! We will return.

The place has beautiful grounds and a pool. With the price of a room you really have an appartement. It is super quiet. Typical italian breackfast (only sweets, and fruits) but good bread. The place is very very clean. GPS is not sufficient to find this place, get direction from the owner, Mr. Gregorio.

We have now stayed at this Masseria 7 times and are certain we shall return again! We first visited about 8 years ago and have had a very relaxing holiday each time. Gregorio is a fantastic host/owner and this shows as so much of his business is from repeat guests. We have visited at May half term and in the school summer holidays. We prefer to stay in the two bedroom ground floor apartment with doors on to the terrace and pool. However, if we were travelling without children, we would love to stay in the romantic little trulli.
The pool is amazing and Gregorio is incredibly proud of it. There is a great diving board too. Breakfast is included each morning and consists of fruit, pastries and cheese or meats, all washed down with the best coffee ever!
A car is essential as you cannot walk to any restaurants. Pams supermarket is about 5 mins drive away and Gino's store is about 2 mins drive. Gino sells the most delicious focaccia, squares of pizza rich in olive oil and wonderful bread. Lots of great places to visit in the day/evenings eg Martina Franca, Cisternino, ceglie messapica and Ostuni. All of them have a wonderful atmosphere, especially in the evening when you can sit in the square at bars before enjoying a great meal at a huge choice of restaurants.
Do not go to this Masseria if you like noise, discos etc as it will not be your sort of holiday. I guarantee that everyone who stays at this Masseria will fall in love with the place, return home relaxed and itching to return to Masseria Selvaggi. This is the only place that we have returned to more than once!

We stayed here in September. We were so impressed with the accommodation, we stayed in the trullo apartment. A very quiet peaceful location but very convenient for all the lovely small towns. The pool was fantastic. The breakfasts were very varied & plentiful with something different every day.Gregorio was always very helpful with enquiries. Loved the area, so pretty, would love to return one day. Would highly recommend, such good value.

Stayed a week in September. A great place for visiting local towns (Cisternino is our favourite) and a short drive to lovely beaches. Our apartment was small but clean and fresh and we had a good spacious terrace for BBQing. the swimming pool was fantastic and Gregorio most helpful with all our queries

Room Tip: If you want a secluded terrace go for the smallest room at the back ,the other rooms are much larger

This was a half-term family break, chosen for the previous excellent reviews! We were definitely not disappointed, although we do think that we would have had a different break in the height of summer. With only one day hot enough to sit by the pool, we spent several days exploring the countryside, including Alberobello, the caves at Castellana, and Castel del Monte. Our very own 'trulli' was a delight to come home to: clean, spacious, warm, and fully equipped for the self-catering which we found easier to enjoy with three kids than wait for the restaurants to open! Our eldest son was won over by the breakfasts supplied by Gregorio every morning - our host even arrived early enough on our last morning to supply us with pastries and coffee before leaving for our journey to the airport. A car is a necessity for this kind of holiday - if you are the kind of person who likes to walk to the restaurant and enjoy a drink in the evening, you might find this a bit restrictive. I was worried that the children would find the location too rural, but these worries were thankfully unfounded.
