We stayed for a week at villa cenci in preparation for our friends wedding, tucked away in the Puglian countryside near Cisternino. A great place, what really makes this place even better is the staff. Elena Greta and Vito took care of our whole party (30 of us) and joined in with us at times. We stayed in one of the larger rooms number 24, which was beautiful also the 'Trulli' rooms our friends were beautiful and very cool.

In the middle of the fields at the end of a small road, a nice villa with rooms in " trullis "The rooms are clean , a little spartanic , but in a garden full of flowers. A very large pool , big garden , more than space enough to find privacy. Good personnel and very gentle owners. Very good breakfast , but we liked less the dinners. But the region has enough opportunities.
Second time that we were here and we again enjoyed.

Spent a week there for easter, we had a room in a typical trullo, which was cozy and clean. It was the first week of opening after winter, so the room was cold on our arrival and it took a day to warm up, but after that it was perfect. Very nice breakfast in the morning, served with a smile by Mr. Vito - thanks for everything. We could not stay there for meals as we have been driving around Puglia but menu looked great. Overall a great week.

We spent 3 nights at Villa Cenci in late Sept / early Oct 2015. We found the expansive property to be very pretty and well maintained. The staff (particularly Umberto, Micheli, Vito, and Topo) were all very friendly and accommodating. The on site restaurant was really good and a welcome alternative to a trip into Cisternino which didn't seem to have much in the way of restaurants. Don't let anyone tell you that Villa Cenci is walking distance to Cinternino, particularly at night. Our room was adequate and had all the amenities you would expect but we felt it was a bit sparse, particularly since we paid for a "superior" room. The main thing I would suggest to future guests is, prior to arrival, get very detailed set of directions on how to find the hotel. Villa Cenci management might consider having such directions readily available to send to customers. We found it very difficult to find, particularly since we arrived in the dark and very few people in the Cisternino area speak English.

Room tip: We paid extra for a superior room and it wasn't particularly exceptional. I'd check out the standard room and the cost difference.

For our first holiday together we could not have choosed something better. Even if last minute, we managed to sleep in a trullo. The owners were gentle and descret. The rooms were VERY clean, simple but very nice decorated and very spacious. Unfo the internet connection was bad. Breakfast is served until 11 (on holiday is magic). Pool very clean, you get towels and the garden is VERY well maintained.
The staff is really nice, very gentle and ready at anytime to help. But the real soul of this place is VITO (Don Vito!) - who organized for our breakfast local burrata as a a special wish. He speaks also German and we had a couple of good moments in this quite to quite place, which is a bit far away from the seaside (20 min by car).
For me the standards of this masseria are 5 stars.
I hope we will be back soon.

Room tip: ask for a trullo
