We stayed three nights in this excellent hotel. It was a true delight. The food is excellent with a 5 course dinner composed of local specialties. The service is impeccable, a reason for this is that the hotel is family run and you can see this in the way they threat their guests : nothing is too much asked for. (e.g. due to bad weather in the mountains we had to change the reservations and this was no problem). The rooms are nicely decorated and there is a sense for detail (sweets on the bed,...).
A big plus for the hotel is that Jacopo Compagnoni (the son of the owners) is a mountain guide with a great knowledge of the beautiful Ortles-Cevedale mountainrange. We made some alpine trips that were memorable and Jacopo was the perfect guide : funny, english speaking, motivating in the more difficult passages (and we had them ...) and he knows all the routes like the back of his pocket.
We will certainly go back. Tom and Ingrid

Skiing was great, beautiful room and fantastic food. The owners don't just run the hotel but take care of every detail. Their enthusiasm for the mountains, skiing and good food made our trip unforgettable.

After a horrific 10 hour car journey from Baden-baden, we arrived at the hotel around midnight....exhausted and hungry. The staff were so warm and accomodating on arrival. They had the restaurant open for us and a table already set! We had a lovely meal with amazing service despite it being almost 1am.
Breakfast was good and the home baked cakes to die for! Scrambled eggs are made to order and absolutely delicious. The hotel is immaculate and there has been a great deal of love and attention in its design/maintenance. Our room was spacious and spotless...slippers and bath robes were also much appreciated! Along with the chocolate and sweets left on our pillows!
On our departure, Deborah and her staff were on hand to give directions to lake garda and help with our luggage. The late check out was also much appreciated and they made you feel that nothing was too much to ask. An absolute gem of a hotel and I will definitely be returning. This hotel is the definition of first class customer service and cements why family run hotels are far better than any chain (unless you pay a fortune!).

Kvalita služeb mnohonásobně převyšuje cenovou kategorii hotelu i počet hvězdiček. Určitě to nebyla naše poslední návštěva!:-)

We spent a fabulous Christmas week here with our grade-school aged children and my wife's parents. Having skied in Santa Caterina, Zermatt, and Kitzbuhel this year, I can say that Baita Fiorita has been the best accommodation, Sunny Valley high atop Santa Caterina ski slope has been the best powder, and Jacopo has been the best instructor/guide. We will definitely return!

The hotel is the perfect blend of charming craftsmanship without being stuffy or formal. The Compagnoni's are welcoming, flexible, and service oriented. The food was superb. The lift is about 400 meters' walk. The snow was weak and wet at town level, but solid at mid-mountain and fantastic up in Sunny Valley. Lift lines were non-existent, yet there are 5 restaurants slope-side. Nearly the whole family works in the hotel by day and night. The youngest - Jacopo - is a certified instructor, mountain guide, and search-and-rescue member. He was great with our children, and then took my wife and me into the off-piste powder. The town is small, so if night life and shopping are important to you, this might not be the place. We loved the intimate setting and being one of the few non-Italian families there.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel in English half term, February 2011. Had not stayed here since 1999, but welcomed back as a long lost friend! My young children were made to feel part of the hotel family, and we cannot imagine a better hotel anywhere. Outstanding food, the staff, as put by my young son, were 'always smiling'. Santa Caterina is a lovely place to ski and quiet even in UK half term in February.
