“Lovely place, great hospitality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

We spent two nights at this wonderful guesthouse. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and had a little kitchen. The view from the patio of the Sparti valley was beautiful. The location was great for exploring amazing Mystras. For breakfast, you checked off what you wanted from a large selection and when you wanted it delivered to your room. (Extras...in the form of delicious rice pudding in our case...come with breakfast as well.) You made your own coffee from a french press in the room, and otherwise had a delicious and generous sized meal to enjoy at your own leisure.

And the staff went above and beyond to help us. Natasha and the others were not only very gracious and welcoming, they helped us when our rental car had problems. They translated for us and basically made the repairs seemless and invisible to us (our car was fixed while we spent the day sightseeing in Mystras). Made what had been a stressful situation into a mere hiccup in our travels.

Recommend this place highly!

A couple of kms outside Mystras new town, on the small road over the mountains to Kalamata - lovely place made perfect by ALL the staff - Natasha, Dimitra and helpers - it couldnt have been more friendly. All beautifully done, perfect for seeing the old city and mega walks in the Taygetos mountains. Highly recommended.

Great location for exploring Mystras. Warm friendly greeting, lovely room tastefully decorated with great balcony and fantastic view of Sparta. Breakfast was perfect and a great start to the day. The bed was extremely comfortable and the little kitchen gave us everything we needed for the occasional snack. Chromata restaurant was 250 metres away and food was so good we ate there two nights running.

Warmly welcomed, offered a choice of superb rooms all individually designed with thought and artistic flair. Quiet, romantic and delightful, exceptionally comfy bed, though the plumbing left a little to be desired which was the only thing that let it down - but not enough to detract from a superb overall experience. Excellent location, perfect for exploring the magnificent Byzantine city of Mystras visible from our room. Breakfast in a basket delivered at a time to suit makes you feel very special, and nothing is too much trouble.
Would recommend staying more than one night to really appreciate all the area has to offer.

This guesthouse is incredible. I wish we had stayed longer than one night. Our suite was so tastefully decorated with such attention to detail. There was a mixture of rustic and modern touches, but everything blended well. The colors were soothing. The name of our suite was Sky II. The showere curtain and the seats of the lounge chair had images of clouds on them to correspond with the name of the suite. I noticed on the balconies of the other rooms, the lounge chairs also had depictions of olives, flowers, wheat and so forth which related to the name of the room. I have never seen such attention to detail in a hotel room before. There was an equipped kitchen, a fireplace and free internet which, amazingly, worked perfectly consideriung the location of this guesthouse on the side of a mountain. We had spectacular views of the valley, Sparta and Mystras from our spacious balcony. The staff was welcoming and very helpful.

We could have had breakfast in our room. You get a form to fill out and hand in the day before selecting what you would like for breakfast. They bring the breakfast to your room in a large basket. We ordered breakfast for the earliest time on the form, 8:30. The woman on duty, Natassa, saw us loading our luggage in our car (we wanted to get an early start to Athens) and said she could prepare our breakfast right away (It was about 8 a.m.) We decided to eat our breakfast at the farmstyle table in the reception area becasue it was very windy and I did not want Natassa to have to carry our breakfast basket up the mountain to our room. The breakfast was delicious. It consisted of home made bread, home made sour cherry preserves from their cherry tree, ham and cheese panini, French press coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh cherries and pears, yogurt and honey and local cheese. There were other items available which we did not choose.

For cat lovers, there was a very friendly tabby cat who "showed us around the property" and made himself at home on our doorstep.

I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough. I was told the property is just 6 years old but still looks fresh and clean. It was built from local stone to resemble the surrounding old buildings. I hope to be able to return to this wonderful place again!

Room Tip: We loved Sky II junior suite - huge room with wonderful view, kitchen, fireplace and large balcony

Lovely stone houses facing east with a wonderful view across Sparta. A few minutes drive from the incredible Byzantine fortress town of Mistras. Very friendly owners, beautiful rooms and a stunning location.

We arrived to this beautiful location at the afternoon and fell in love with the place in 2 minutes.
there are a few stone houses facing the valley view each with a terrace.
the room we stayed in was just amazing and all new. the owners were kind and recommended us of a restaurant which was the best restaurant we went to during our stay in greece.
