Had a great time. The food, the service, the rooms, everything. But most importantly, the Kids club.

The mini club, the crèche and the football academy were sensationally ran. The single best experience we've had with a childcare team. /a huge thamk you to phil who really took the tie with our son to motivate him and make sure his first football experience was a fun experiemce.

Not only would we recommend this resort to all our friends, we will be back ourselves without a doubt.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at Ikos Olivia with our two children. Some aspects of the resort exceeded expectations and the food and beverage is by far the best asset to this resort. A wonderful array of cuisine, great wines/cocktails and helpful, polite and assertive waiting staff. It was wonderful to never have to sign a bill! The spa and other hotel facilities and entertainment all top notch.

The restaurant reservation system for the a la carte restaurants is the same as Sani Beach Resort (it's sister hotel) and envolves a highly annoying process of having to call through to reception every morning to reserve a table at the restaurant of your choice but it obviously works for them so enough said there. The hotel and grounds are wonderful and the rooms contemporary with beautiful furniture and colour scheme. The kids club and babysitting is faultless and Ben and his team work tirelessly around the clock and are always happy and enthusiastic despite managing a huge amount of children on a daily basis. It really is pram city and I did feel sorry for people travelling without children as they were literally everywhere and at times it felt very overwhelming. There definitely needs to be more adult only areas.

We booked a one bedroom bungalow suite with private garden and were extremely disappointed with the location on arrival. In addition to the location, they also failed to provide a steriliser and highchair despite requesting this and a 'quite room' on numerous occasions prior to our arrival. Our room was not in the slightest bit private and overlooked the back of a row of other bungalows and the main restaurant, Flavours. Natasa (reservations manager) was extremely unhelpful and in the end I had to email the general manager directly to arrange a room change. Eventually after two nights we were upgraded to a sea view bungalow with balcony which was in a better location however it overlooked the Beach pool (not the sea) and our bathrooms drains blocked and subsequently flooded continuously and some days smelt strongly of sewage. Maintenance did try and rectify the situation but it was an ongoing problem. I gave up after 5 days and just moped up the bathroom floor every night with towels. It's as if they do not pay the slightest bit of attention to requests prior to arrival which is disappointing given it is a 5* hotel. The one bedroom suites are also small when you have two children under 4 that need separate sleeping areas. Given the resort is so child friendly they would definitely benefit from offering more two bedroom suite options and these should definitely not just be in the deluxe collection or the highest room catagory. The best rooms in the hotel and pools are in the deluxe collection and they offer a much quieter and luxurious experience... a lot of guests had told us that they had been upgraded on arrival to deluxe rooms or given black cards which allowed them access to the deluxe pool and beach in the day and when we asked for the same we were told that they were fully booked but this was not true as the pool/beach was practically empty most days. We were therefore left disappointed and we were made to feel (like many others) that our room/service was less superior. The hotel is only operational for 6 months of the year and perhaps the need to fill the rooms is more important than guest satisfaction and therefore you feel that you are just another number..

There isn't much to do outside the hotel but it was nice to hire the hotel bikes and go for a little explore, especially on an overcast day (be prepared for many of those!). Although pricey (€180 for one hour) it was fun to hire a speedboat and explore the coastline and be able to take water skis and inflatables with you. The water sports team are a nice bunch.

Fresh baby purées (veg and meat) are available in the main restaurant which was very handy and you can also order via room service but make sure you ask them to repeat your order and order in advance.

If you require a late check-out be prepared to pay for it - €90 to keep your room until 6pm and don't expect reception to provide confirmation of a late check-out until 9pm the night before departure.

Would we rush back..? Probably not for the reasons mentioned above and when the rates inevitably increase next year it won't be worth the money in our opinion. Although it ticked many boxes it is not in the same league yet as some of the other luxury hotels we have stayed at in Greece (Daios cove, Sani Beach Resort etc..) and across the globe but it's certainly work in progress.

We have just returned from our first visit to this fantastic hotel and are now eagerly awaiting our next trip in October.
The staff are working very hard to achieve and maintain exceptionally high standards and generally these are achieved.
Should any minor problems occur these are quickly resolved once reported and any more major situations are seen to be being dealt with.
Food and drink all of excellent quality and accomodation very high standard.

Arrived at the Ikos Olivia at the end of May after booking the holiday through British Airways

The hotel has only recently opened and following some early reviews we were looking forward to staying

After a flight from 'hell' (the flight we were on had over 50 very small children on board under the age of 3 and the noise for nearly 3 hours was.........!!)

Arrived at the hotel and we were impressed by the look of the hotel lobby, we were greeted and offered a glass of champagne, which was very welcome

The booking in procedure was very stilted as they did not have enough staff on board and it took nearly an hour to get us to our room which was stated to be a 'Superior Garden view room'

On arrival at the room, the room was very well laid out and looked spectacular, in fact it was probably one of the best laid out rooms, we have stayed in however, the view from the room was in fact less garden and more view of the road, businesses opposite and houses and of course it was at the front of the hotel, where all of the buses and taxi's were dropping off guests

We did complain, but as the hotel was busy, they could not move us... I can only tell you that, the room in fact was very good and if you looked at the mountains beyond the road and houses, it was after all a nice view, but in NO WAY could you call it a garden view (more estate agent speak than truth) and the hotel need to change its picture of a Superior garden view room as it bears NO resemblance to the actual view

Onto the restaurants and the service, we had heard that you could only book the al la carte restaurants 3 days in advance, which meant that you would eat at the 'Flavours' buffet restaurant for the first 2 days, but on reading this I emailed guest relations and booked Provence and Ouzo via email a few days before leaving the UK and as such had al la carte restaurants during the whole of the stay (Would recommend this to everyone!!)

Provence, was a lovely experience of French Cuisine and the staff in there could not do more, they were great and Stella in particular was brilliant... Good food and service

Ouzo on the second night for a Greek al la carte meal.... Disappointed with the 'Greek fare really...nice food but Greek...not really and to be fair my main course of Octopus arrived and it was just a small piece of octopus with a smear of puree, lovely but really, nothing to accompany it and I really mean nothing...left there hungry and disappointed..

Fusco's was the Italian and great service again and the food and service excellent and whilst the main courses again had nothing like accompanying dishes, there was more of a serving to the mains... Great food and drink

The Asian restaurant was next and great food, although service was poor on the first visit but on our next visit was far better

The hotel grounds and location was lovely and the pool areas looked awesome but as we were close to the beach, that was always going to be the destination of choice (In fact, most families with children were at the pools, so the beach was full of adults)

The beach was great, but the hotel had a distinct lack of cushions for the sun beds and despite the hotel stating that they did not allow bed reservations, this was happening regularly.

I must say that the sunbeds were OK but you did need the cushions and if you spoke to Adam (who seemed to be a supervisor) he would always do his best to get cushions for you... In fact, Adam was really good as were all of the staff down at the beach, they all worked tirelessly to serve everyone and they worked really hard....

There was a way to get cushions quickly and a couple of men used the threat of mentioning the problem on trip advisor.... surprisingly, cushions arrived with 2 minutes, but that threat is like blackmail and its use reprehensible.... Not what trip advisor should be used for!!!

Must admit, our stay was overall awesome, the food during breakfast and lunch really good. The drink was branded and the cocktails really nice and alcoholic (not watered down as some hotels do!!) I can highly recommend the Brandy Crusta as an after dinner drink

The one issue the hotel need to act on..... Children were running and riding scooters around the hotel lobby at all hours and this is not only dangerous for them and others in the hotel, but will cause a lot of guests never to visit the hotel again... I know it is the parents responsibility and a lot of them just do not care, but the management risk insurance claims and other issues, if they do not quietly tell the parents to control their children...

Overall, recommended hotel, with some reservations

Room Tip: rooms are good, but please note that Garden view may not actually be a view of the garden but road shops and houses -mountains in distance

We visited here on the 1st june for our honeymoon we stayed for 7 nights and let me tell you this was well and truly above our expectations. First of all a huge thankyou to all the staff that work at the hotel from reception to the bar staff which might i add worked extremley hard in making sure no one had an empty glass wether it was round the pool on the beach or at the bars. The room was superb with an extremely comfy bed that we wanted to take home with us. We stayed in a sea view junior suite the views were spectacular. Your minibar is replenished daily as was the nesspresso machine which was fab. Room service was free u could have what ever you wanted 24hrs a day.
We still cannot believe the food option with this being an all inclusive you would expect to pay a supplement for the a la carte restaurants but it is still included. We tried all but our favuorite has to be the french wich was outstanding. All the others were incredible but our favourite was the french. As for the choice in wine well you will spoilt for choice and also might i add you dont just get the glass you get the bottle. Just to add the wine is far from cheap vinegar it is very top of the notch wine.
Even the buffet restaurant flavours was out of this world catering for all tastes you will be spoilt for choice they even have a section for pizza where they will make you what ever pizza you would like stonebaked of course. The views from the restaurants were lovely.
With us being on our honeymoon we were invited to dinner on the beach to watch the sun go down now words can not describe how special this was for us from the food the lanterns even the music they played in the background a truly magical moment we will not forget.
Entertainment was brilliant at night time especially the pool party with the dj and saxophone player we all had to wear white so makesure you bring a white outfit it isnt a must but does add to the night.
Activites in the day you will see leaflets and posters have a look at those as the animation staff dont come over to ask if would like to take part as there rule is not to mither people.
We had a couples massage in the luxurious spa in the hotel it is quite expensive but is worth every single penny.
Just to add rooms are cleaned daily also love the chocolates they bring at night and put in your room.
The sunloungers also felt like you were lying on an actual bed.
I will add cocktails were brilliant may we reccomend the brambles and mojitos they were gorgous also all drinks are branded for example absolut vodka, jonny walker whiskey, disaranou, gordons gin and tankering tonic this just gives you an idea on qaulity you get here.
The only downside is that we had 2 days or rain which was unusual for greece and also that we didnt book 2 weeks apart from this our experience here was out of this world if your looking for top luxury then you need to book here as you will all be blown away.
Cant wait to come back sometime in the future.
