“Wonderful Place!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

This was our first time in Greece. My children and I went there for an all-inclusive 8 day vacation, with 5 other families’ friends. From the very first night, the atmosphere was fun, the food was great, the music and the view of the see was incredible.
The facilities were kept very clean, and we always had clean and fresh towels. We opted for the “All Inclusive” which meant 3 meals a day and snacks and Ice cream in between, there was more food than we could eat. The pool is nice and big, the beach and water is great. The staff was super nice the entire time and always willing to help with any requests.
But, the most memorable evening was when we celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday. They ordered a cake for us, they arranged for dinner with a beautiful table setting for all of our friends (about 20 people) and everything was perfect. There was live music (as this happened to be on “Greek night”), but they even allowed us to play some of our own CD’s, to dance to our Serbian folklore dance. Mr. Christos and his staff at the restaurant, went above and beyond to accommodate our requests to ensure we had a great time. This was truly a night to remember, my daughter had THE BEST Birthday ever. This place way exceeded my expectations. If we ever visit Halkidki, Greece again in future, we are sure to come back.
Georgia and everyone at Sonia’s Village, Thank You for everything! Ευχαριστώ.
Ildiko Todorovic.

Room Tip: All rooms are equally nice and well located. Note: The fitness center I rated "average"...

I was really confused reading negative review related to this Hotel. I spent wonderful 2 weeks in this hotel with my wife and two children (9 and 2). From the first day of our vacation we were surprised with many facts which are not ordinary for 3* hotels especially in Greece. Let’s start from the beginning. We get family room (408). At the first sight, location was perfect but further staying showed us real level of this family-owned hotel. Room is very spacious, clean and well equipped. Bed sheets and towels were changed every three days. Cleaning stuff is perfect. Rooms was cleaned every day (not as we use to see). Except regular cleaning, floor and whole bathroom was disinfected every day. Air condition usage is included in price and can be active while key is plugged. For all inclusive guests there is a nice service. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are well organized and always few kinds of meals are served. Food is tasty and lets say on higher level that you can expected for 3* hotel. From 09.30 until 19.00, swimming pool is opened and café as well. There you can get drinks included in all inclusive and also paid ones. Pool is very clean and contains little part for small children. Lifeguard is whole time around the pool. Pool is surrounded with lot of sun beds and umbrellas which are charge free. Near to the reception, all guest can enjoy relaxing in cafe bar Sonia. Here you can order pizza, sandwiches… (not included in all inclusive) or drink/coffee (lot of them are included in all inclusive). Every day in period 15.00-17.00h, ice cream is served for all inclusive guests. Beach is sandy and very clean as water as well. Left part of the beach is better for children (water is not deep and bottom is very soft) without grass (there is just few rocks with grass). Right side is little bit rocky (water) but that cannot spoil the impression (very good for diving). One part (umbrellas and sun beds) is reserved for all inclusive guests. Also there are umbrellas and sun beds which can be rented for 3 EUR. Shower and changing cabin are also available. Finally, entertainment is also well organized. There is a fantastic animation team with lot of ideas especially for children. In the morning (until 14.00) mini club for children is opened (with various kinds of games and activities). Every evening mini disco is organized, and animators are successfully trying to animate all children regardless of their age. During our staying, whole day Olympic games are organized which our daughter will certainly remember. Also, there are entertainment activities for other guests as morning recreation, water gym, water polo, basketball, air gun shooting, ping pong… Its really worth to mention that theme night at cafe bar Sonia are also wonderfully organized. It would be very sad to miss Greek night, live music, tombola night, games night…. Thumbs up for stuff (always polite and smiling). Generally, I can really recommend hotel Sonia Village for great and relaxing family vacation

Room Tip: If you are traveling with small children choose family rooms

We loved the beach, sandy, clear water, some underwater rocks were you can see a lots of fishes. We also recomend to make trips on both Cassandra and Sithonia, fantastic beaches and landscapes. We had vacation in Sonia village in July 2013 and it was a wonderful two weeks! The hotel is very comfortable, located in a quiet place, so who likes relaxing holiday I recommend this hotel.
Clear sea and wonderful sandy beach, located next to the hotel. Who have all inclusive can take free chaiselongs, just need to do it early in the morning.
The hotel area is small, but clean. There is a swimming pool, cafe, bar, children's playground. Also here you have the opportunity to play table tennis, volleyball, etc.
The rooms are small but cozy. There is one minus- very good audibility.
Foods - delicious. There was always different foods. Every dinner were fruits: watermelon, peaches, melons. All very tasty.
The bar serves a range of drinks and bartenders thank you for the wonderful cocktails!
Good animation program. Every evening held something of interest, so that there was no boring time.
In conclusion, I would like to say that one who is tired of the bustle of big cities recommend staying at Sonia village.
Thank you to all employees Sonia village for pleasant vacation!

We are a young couple with an 8-year old child and we chose this hotel based on good reviews of other travelers and recommendation by TripAdvisor. The hotel was awarded for excellence in 2013 by TripAdvisor. The reviews praised good environment for families with kids, excellent food, entertainment activities, beach... However, IT WAS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. The food was terrible: tasteless, poor and the same selection of dishes. The beach is located below the complex and sunbeds are charged. But, you have to reserve them in the evening for tomorrow because there isn't a sufficient number of them. The sea is full of grass. Rooms are average. Bedsheets and towels are changed in three days. Outer air-conditioning device drips and floor of the balcony is always wet and slippery. You can't sleep in the night because teenagers stay long at the volleyball court and make noise. Cleaning ladies start cleaning early in the morning and make big noise. The village itself is boring and without a decent payment to have a walk in the evening because the entertainment in the hotel is terrible.
Definitely, there are better places to stay in Sithonia for the same amount of money, with more beautiful environment and beaches.
AVOID THIS PLACE!

We have been 8 romanian families ( all inclusive all of us ) in July 2013 at Sonia Village , and we had a great time here! Due to the fact that they are well organised , the check-in took us just a little.
The rooms were very clean , cleaning ladies changing towels daily . The food was good and the waiters are kind and smiley , even though the food could have been a little more variety . Furthermore , the sea is nice & clean , a good place to choose. There are plenty of entertaining stuff to do at Sonia , and the new animation team is great ! They know what to do and how to make little kids and adults cheerful .
Moreover , he all inclusive service is very comprehensive, they did offer much more than I was expecting , but still I didn't find the logic in having the bar opend untill 12:00 and the all inclusive service only untill 10:30 ...

On the other hand , we all had a great time at Sonia Village !
