My family visited Sonia Village at the beginning of June 2012.
The place is green, peaceful and close to the beach. As we were with 10 months old baby we needed a cot bad, which need more space. People with small children should know that the double rooms are spacious enough and clean. Every room has a small place over the fridge, where you can prepare the meal for the baby. Also there is great playground and small pool into the big one, which is ok for the kids.
The restaurant is clean, spacious and has enough baby chairs, also a small place for the kids to play, while you are eating. The food is varied, delicious and more important – fresh. There are many fresh veggies and fruits every day, meals for vegetarians and vegans and of course meet, fish and seafood. The people from the restaurant are making their best to prepare every day something for the small ones. There are most often two kinds of soups every day and pasta.
When we were into the resort there were not enough beach umbrellas, but later I understood that this had changed. The beach was nice, except the sand, but that’s not a big problem. The water is crystal clear, the sea is mostly serene. There are no sea urchins in front of the sun umbrellas of the hotel.
All this sounds very nice, but will be nothing if the personnel is bad  . Hopefully the people from Sonia Village hotel are more than nice! You will find helpful and kind service, polite manner and people, who are doing their job with love and willingness. We recommend the resort to all our friend and relatives. Some of them have already visited it and want to visit it again.
We also hope to visit the place again, because we had very halcyon days there thanks to everything written above!

Rooms ok. Food plain and very basic. If you are vegetarian during the barbecue dinner (2 times in 10 days) you'll have only bread and potatoes. Beach is sandy but kinda dodgy. Hotel is great for kids. No traffic, no hazards. In the evening you can go to playground or nearby campus.
Rates are good so this is OK value for money.

Room Tip: Family rooms are on ground floor and all have bunk beds.

We were in Sonia village two weeks ago. And we spent our vacation in peace and comfort.

Rooms are big and clean, bathrooms are small.

Food and drinks were great. The girl witch name is Kostadina from the Caffe was very kind with the children and us. George from the restaurant was great too :)

Children's playground was very nice. Very green village.

We've had some problems with the umbrellas on the beach - every morning we have to go early to the reception and take a key, because if you are late - no umbrella.
The sand on the beach is awful - a lot of dust. But the water is perfect. Very clean and with a lot of fish in it.

Never mind, hope to go there next year again!

the first time we stayed in this hotel in July 2010 and again in July 2011. (Family with two children 9 and 6 years of age).
The reason for re going to have very nice impressions from the previous year.
Hotel makes several small buildings (ground floor and two floors above) in olive trees and beautiful landscaped gardens, the farthest building is located about 100 meters from the hotel beach, the beach could be a little better organized but it is clean. Family rooms are spacious, with king size bed and bunk beds. Front of the room is a small garden that is always in the shade so that you hardly ever in the room should include air conditioning, or so the part where the rooms with the number 700 and higher (we were in room 703 in both years).
Bed linen is changed to 3 days, towels every 2 days (4 large and 4 small towels), and the rooms are cleaned daily. Cleanliness is extremely high throughout the hotel complex.
The pool is primarily intended for children, is shallow and is not large but it is cool when you hate to go to the beach.
The food is excellent and varied, especially for dinner, and breakfast is a little poorer, but you can always combine some of the foods offered. Our children have always found something they like, and friends who are advised to go to this hotel and were pleased with the food and accommodation.Every Wednesday and Saturday to prepare barbecue, outdoor part of the restaurant, the pool, the other days there is no one correct sequence repeat the same meal because you have always offered at least three kinds of meat with different attachments.
The hotel staff was very courteous and always will meet with any problems that show up. The date was on vacation, everything is included in the price I negotiated directly with the hotel, which is probably the best if you have the possibility of payment (reservation on arrival supply about 30 percent and the rest upon arrival at the hotel)

Gerakini is a very good place for those who like to explore a little and changed daily to the beach, the Hanioti one Sarti, Neos Marmaras on the other, countless hidden beaches that you can go and find the crystal clear water and beautiful sandy beaches. (When you see the way that local drivers - Greeks, deviated from the route on a dirt road through the woods and bushes, you know that you will find behind some of the most beautiful beaches of Sithonia).
For families with children under 13 years is an ideal place to rest. At the end of the hotel is designed to attract this target group, and the price are competitive with any other establishment of higher rank. I suppose it would get 4 stars just to have the opportunity to build a larger pool, beach equipment and add some content for children, because we all are here for them, so if the children are happy, and my parents will write a nice comment on previous holidays.
