Stayed in this hotel as the company I was visiting booked it for me.
What a quaint and charming location-in the old town streets of Buxtehude!
When I called the hotel to say I was having trouble parking the chap came outside to help me find a parking space. Once inside, I received a warm and friendly welcome and went up to my room which had a view of the mini harbor outside. The room had a low roof and was clean and fully functional. There were no frills in the room but it was perfectly pleasant and comfortable. Nearby there are many options for eating out and walking through the old town in the evening is delightful. I slept well and breakfast the next day was in a room overlooking the harbor. The service was super friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay here again when on business. The value for money here is particularly pleasing.

This was our second trip to the Hotel in three years, Family rooms excellent space and layout. Our room had a kitchenette which was a real bonus. Wireless Internet available, I had problems with getting IP address. Excellent and hearty breakfast available with self service and plenty of choice.
There is a separate bar/pub run independently from the hotel. This is on the ground floor in the corner of the building, Music and laughter from here could be heard but did not cause us a problem during our stay. Good English is spoken by all members of staff particularly Maggie.

Have stayed here a few times over the last twenty years and the furnishings and bathrooms do not appear to have been updated. Each room is different in size from a tiny box room to rooms with a mezzanine floor but the hotel seems to charge the same for all. Being at the end of a semi-circular road makes the hotel noisy as traffic roars down one side then back up the other. Breakfast OK but nothing special. Very close to bars and cafes but parking can be a problem.
