Situated where it is, le Galion should tick all the boxes. It's central on the esplanade right alongside the boats, it has lovely open views and an extensive terrace area outside. That's about it however. We were there in summer when it was extremely crowded and we waited a long time for service . Eventually when the food arrived, the plates were immediately whisked away with the explanation that they were the wrong order. In time, replacements arrived. In fairness, the man in charge sent a carafe of wine and did not charge for the coffees. On holiday again in Sanary last week, we returned as the choice of eating places was rather limited. The service was poor, the manner surly and extremely reluctant and the food indifferent. The same waiter who had been in charge before was in an even worse mood and just couldn't be bothered. Overall a very disappointing experience - sadly an expensive one.
