La Maison des Galets, Les Remparts

For 75 euros I expecting more here. Very small rather cramped bathroom and the bedroom was best described as quaint.
Nice balcony facing the sea but apart from that the room was spartan.
Pleasant reception staff but I was given an out of date wifi code and had to return to reception for the latest one and then it was very slow.
Good for a night stop to explore the charming town but I wouldnt return as I thought 75 euros too much for a 2 star hotel

There was nothing to fault with this hotel. Great location. Hard to find though. Rooms were ok. Free wifi was useful. Staff very friendly

This simple, reasonably priced hotel was neat and clean, although the rooms are a bit small. The dining room and bar area are charming and the food is quite good. The location right on the beach is a bonus! More charm from the staff might really make this a real hit for those traveling along the coast of France.

Well there aren't many places to stay in St Valery, this is clean, its reasonably priced and it overlooks the sea. This town got badly smacked up in 1940, the hotel was re-built in fine 1950's brutalist style, bathrooms were clearly added later, making some rooms pokey. But there are a number of real problems. First of all the soundproofing appears non existent, you can hear everything going on next door and above, making sleep elusive, secondly the restaurant isn't open all week so you can't get an evening meal some nights. Breakfast included one of the worst cups of coffee I've had in France, all in all the staff seem simply to have given up. Not surprisingly it was mostly empty in July.

Having normally stayed at the 3* Hotel du Casino in St Valery en Caux, we didn't have high hopes for this 2*, but were so pleasantly surprised that I have no hesitation in recommending this little gem. Small, cosy bedrooms recently refurbished in beiges and creams, immaculate bathroom and very clean. The icing on the cake is the lovely breakfast room over looking the sea with comfortable wicker chairs, soft leather sofas, log fire and bar. They serve afternoon tea and pastries there in the afternoon.
