The food was excellent and good value - some of our party ate there three days in a row! The service was friendly and helpful, prompt without being rushed, even though the restaurant was pretty busy. The food ranged from simple omelettes to more traditional French dishes, such as Tete de Veau, so was great for all appetites and palates!

There aren't that many restaurants in Domfront, so having searched the town centre, we finally settled on this place largely because it had Mussels on the menu. I parked the car right outside the front door, in a small and free on-street car park (where can you do that in the UK any more?).

We were led to a pleasant table next to the side window but there was insufficient room for me to sit down. I had to move my chair to another side of the table to have any room at all, largely through the amount of space taken by the diner at the next table.

We were then presented with the menu and left to decide. On eventually ordering, we were informed that Mussels were off. There goes our main reason for coming here. It would have been nice if we had been told this on being given the menus.

Never mind, we ordered something else. My partner had the fish soup for starter, even though its positioning in the menu made it look like a main. She thought it was one of the best fish soups ever! I had the turkey breast, which was good.

This is a good little restaurant with very reasonable prices. Will be back just for that fish soup.

Located on the edge of the old city, this is a good spot to eat. We had lunch here in mid August and whilst it was very busy, the staff were friendly and courteous. It is popular with locals as well as visitors, so dont expect rapid service, but take time to chill and enjoye the French atmosphere. The Pizza menu is huge, to cater for any taste, but alternative dishes are also well prepared. I had omlette and it was the best I have ever had in France.... plus the frites were light and tasty.
