B&B Hotel Boulogne-sur-Mer
Reviewed February 28, 2011

The B & B is just off the A16 but is far enough from the main road to be relatively quiet at night. Rooms are basic and clean and everything worked. The breakfast is continental with the addition of cereals, bacon scrambled egg and toast.

The self check in did not work for us and we had to wait an hour for the reception was open.

All in all good value and we will be using it again

I realise that these are a budget chain but compared to Uk chains the rooms and beds are awful. Not only are the beds very thin they are very low and as hard as concrete all topped off with sheets and blankets .The toilet roll is locked in a dispenser like a public toilet device .I woiuld rather spend the night in a car than ever use this chain again.

Handy stopover en route back from our house in the Loire. The Tunnel is only 20-30 mins up the road. You get what you pay for. Stopped here 4 or 5 times in the past and it ahs always been a clean room. Handy for a couple of restaurants. Don't bother with the breakfast so can't comment on that.

My family and I stopped here in September for one night to break up the travel from our holiday home in Brittany back to our home in Warwickshire. It's cheap so there are no frills but you get exactly what you pay for which is a decent night sleep (as long as the air ambulance isn't landing on the helipad next door!!). Everything you require is in the room such as toilet, shower, TV, phone and of course beds!

The breakfast isn't exactly world class food but it is adequate for setting you up for the day ahead.

All in all i have no real reason to moan..............if you want 5-star service, pay more and stay elsewhere. If you just want a place to stay for the night with breakfast chucked in, then stay here!

We stayed in a family room at this hotel while travelling to our camping. You have to check in yourself if you arrive before five, but that's not an issue if you've paid upfront. Location is perfect for people like us who just are passing through to their final destination and are looking for a simple place to stay near the highway. Eventhough breakfast is modest and service maybe is not what you expect for a hotel, it's perfect value for money.

We booked in via door, card.no one on duty. Was booked into a room that was dirty, water from shower flooded onto the floor in front of the toilet as it was a wet room bathroom. It had handles along the wall,I can only assume we were booked into a room for the disabled.I dread to think how a disabled person would have coped. This room was number 10.
In the past we have always stayed in a B&B before and been happy, but now,I wonder has it joined other hotels ?because they have completely lost their way.
Dont even bother to fill in the complaints form......I did and have had no reply.......So this has been written due to no reply......B&B ARE NOW OFF MY BUSINESS AND HOLIDAY LISTS.
