We managed to get a very good deal for this hotel. The room is small but adequate for two people for a short stay. The bathroom was small, with sink, toilet and shower in a small plactic compartment. The room was clean and comfortable with free WiFi available. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast at 5 Euro was fine and good value compared to other hotels. You don't get the space and comfort that you would get in a 4* hotel but then you aren't paying anywhere near the prices. Following our visit to this hotel we have stayed at other Premier Classe hotels and I would stay here again.

It's a hotel in typical Formula1 or Etap style. Small rooms, very tiny shower together with the toilet and sink in a 1 squaremeter plastic compartment. Although I knew this before I booked the room for two nights by the unbeatable price and the distance to my customer. The bed itself is not bad and you have WLAN for free. Breakfast costs 5 Euro extra. Diner you can have in the Hotel Campanile on the same ground and when asking at reception you will get a 15%-discount-voucher for the bill.

Small but adequate rooms. BUT sited adjacent to a major lorry depot. Constant movement of lorries directly outside hotel all night - from 4am you will get no sleep unless a very heavy sleeper. Problem also with inconsiderate guests returning during the night and keeping everyone else awake while they run up and down the balcony outside, smoking and calling out to each other.

My boyfriend, sister and I stayed one night at this hotel on our way into Belgium for Remembrance Day this year, and found it to be good value for the three of us Canadians for 36Euro. We liked the bunk-bed arrangement with the double bed on bottom and single bed up top. Brilliant! The place was very difficult to find with all of the round-abouts, so I would recommend bringing a very detailed map to help find the place. We arrived after the office had closed and were very pleased with the auto-check in (like an ATM machine at the front door) that had our reservation, took our credit card payment, and printed out our room keys. The room had just enough space for the bed, suitcases and desk, and smelled faintly of stale smoke and air freshener. The bathroom was interesting to say the least. It was like the bathroom on a boat, one water tight space that enclosed a sink, toilet, and shower head where the water from the shower could spill over into the rest of the enclosure. The sill on the shower was no more than an inch, so we had to turn the water off a few times during each shower to keep the water from spilling over and flooding the rest of the floor in front of the sink and toilet. The door was flimsy, such that we were talking to each other through the bathroom door as we showered (provided for comical entertainment). We had trouble finding anything to eat after 9:00pm as Roncq is a small town. We would recommend crossing into Belgium to Menin for beers after hours (3km away). The staff clerk the next morning was unable or unwilling to converse with me at my highschool french level and spoke no English, which was the only real frustration. The all-you-can-eat breakfast was very good, featuring fresh wood-fired baguettes with jam and butter, cereal and milk, coffee, hot chocolate, juices, yogurt, applesauce, toast, and tea for just an additional 4.75Euro each. We would stay here again under the same circumstances, and I'd recommend it to anyone travelling through Roncq who is looking for basic accomodations at an incredible price.

Stayed here for 6 nights with a large group (40+). Found it to be clean and comfortable, but very small rooms (just enough space for a couple of bunk beds) with extra small, cupboard-style bathrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's on the edge of a transport/industrial estate, but this didn't seem to be a problem. Not close to any shops or services, but there are two very good restaurant/bars right next door with meals available until quite late. About a 15 minute walk into Roncq. Nice breakfast room and good self-serve choice of food (Continental style, not full English!). Good for people travelling through, or going on day trips in a car. Not so good if you want to walk and sight-see. You can check in after hours with an automated system. Lots of stairs, no lifts.
