If you had not read all these 5 star reviews you would probably miss this restaurant. It is on the main street into the old town but has a very nondescript frontage, and no outside space. Inside, the decor is idiosyncratic, but don't be put off. The menu is displayed on blackboards - 19.50 when we ate lunch here in September 2012. I dare say everything here is probably excellent. We had salmon and goats cheese salad to start, and then bourride de lotte and fish a la planxa for mains, all delicious. The plates are decorated by the chef using a sort of vinegar paste, a speciality of the house, and they are superb. You almost imagine it is part of the plate, until you realise you can eat it! Deserts were equally fine.
Wine is just served by the carafe (red, white or rosé), there did not seem to be a wine list. However it was perfectly adequate, and the food is very much the star here.
The service was very friendly, and the chef is also very friendly. Later on in the day we were sitting in a bar after having visited the fort, and he came up to us and said hello!
If you are visiting Prats de Mollo, you must not miss this restaurant.
