We stumbled over the Chateau de Berze by pure and total luck, and a little folder from the tourist office. It is located in the extremely tiny village of Berze-le-Chatel, which literally consists of a Marie, a church and the chateau. That is it.
Guided tours are given every hour, or as needed. We were the only people on our tour, which was given by a lovely local girl who was happy to practice her English and did very well.
The castle itself is not very large, but very old, and well maintained. The main attraction is that it is just plunked there in the middle of the southern Burgundy hills. It was strategically located to protect a road, and well, that made sense. Long ago.
I refer to my pictures for the beauty of this charming little chateau.
