Aparthotel Belveder
Ranked #8 of 15 Pag B&B and Inns
Reviewed August 9, 2012

Hi all,

We have just been a week ago.

The management, staff, catering services, and cleaning services are below any international standard.
No flexibility what's so ever.

Pag is a great place to be, the beach under the hotel is nothing special.
Reccomend you to visit different beaches around the island.

Not a very good value for money.
I'll NOT go back in that hotel.
Cheers
FC

The hotel is located in a wonderful place with a great landscape and sea view. The problem is the management of the hotel. We booked half board and we were not able to seat outside with sea view because the waiter said "those tables are only for a la carte guests" despite of the fact that the hotel seemed to be quite empty and indeed, we noticed during our whole meal that NONE of tables outside were being occupied. We were not offer something to drink during our meails, neither bread or a plate for our child, who had to share from our plate. Breakfast is very poor, no fruits, no fresh products, no yogurt, nothing. The orange juice couldn t be more artificial,

The cleanliness of the room is awfull, dust and hair everywhere and the bathroom is craving for renovations. A few channels can be seen on the telly and not properly. Be careful when you pay with credit card because an extra charge of 5 to 10 cents will be added to the Kuna conversion and nobody mentioned this by checking in and mentioning we will be paying by credit card, the answer was "because of bank charges", totally unprofesional the staff, the owners and the management of the hotel overall, it is a pitty because the hotel has a lot of potential.

We also wanted to use the jacuzzi but it was out of order, so the fitness in plenty season, July 2012 and with no many guest around, no wonder at all. Overall, go somewhere cheaper, with better quality of service. I will never stay here again,

My friend and I booked a couple of months in advance and agreed to the hefty price tag because we were expected a high quality room and hotel. We were both very disapointed. The breakfast 'buffet' was terrible, I have had better in a 10 euro a night hostel, the cleaning staff were very inconsiderate of our privacy, they knocked on our door at 8am, waking us up, and demanded to be let in to clean. The swimming pool is tiny. Worst of all, however, when the time came to pay at the end of our three day stay, the receptionist would not accept that we had paid a deposit towards part of the full payment and insisted that we pay the full price then, saying that this deposit would be refunded and could not be kept towards the full price of the room. We have yet to recieve this deposit and the manner in which he dealt with it was very unfriendly and unhelpful. It was a stressful, unpleasent end to a disapointing stay. Overpriced, find a homestay in the otherwise beautiful Pag.

We are here for 5 days in total, found this hotel cheap on expedia. Its only rated as 3* and we weren't really expecting anything much as it was very cheap!! It's by far one of the nicest hotels we've seen around here!! Restaurant is pricey but the food lives up to the price!! It's very high standard for a 3* and the views are unbelievable!! The staff try their hardest to make you happy. We had a problem with our air con and the bloke at reception literally ran to fix it!! (flat batteries in air con controls!!)
Its very clean, has an unbelievable shower.
Free internet access in public areas around restaurant and by pool. Has a lift access for wheelchairs to gain access to restaurant not sure how you would then go up stairs to hotel. Worth checking with Belveder itself.
Don't waste money on other hotels! Seriously you will not be disappointed until its time to go home!!
Its in a quiet location but is close enough to get to shops and other restaurants etc. Also good bus links to other towns.
Transfers to hotel from airport were expensive when we looked at home so cheaper option is to get a bus from outside airport to Zadar town. (Stops at bus terminal) and then catch another bus to pag. When you arrive at pag its literally a 5 min walk and there's a tourist info shop to point you in the right direction. all together our transfers came to 150 kuna (£20) plus the pag bus driver charges 7kuna per item of baggage that goes into the hold (under £1) but other people on the bus who had large rucksacks on them just kept the bags with them on the coach to save the fee.

My husband and I just stayed 2 nights here. We ended up booking at a last minute but would have expected more for €140 a night. The hotel overlooks the sea and we had a fabulous view from the large balcony in our top floor room. However the floor of the balcony was stiky and the vent from the restaurant kitchen pointed directly to the direction of the balconies so that we smelled fried everything. The room itself was small, the bathroom very shabby and even dirty( dead spider on floor upon arrival and a centipede on the wall)
and the shower door broken. We
were not given a blanket at all but
a plain sheet to sleep under.
The pool area is nice and there is wifi in common areas however te breakfast was the worst I have seen in a long time. Some pieces of bread, one kind cheese and one kind ham, a piece of fruit and that's about it. A total joke. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was not cleaned in between nor were we even given more toilet paper. Staff(except for waiters at the pool area) was indifferent and not very helpful. We loved pag (the island-the town wad just ok) but this "hotel" was really awful.

We stayed here right at the end of the season, and so got a good deal on an apartment which had great views.

Located just 5 minutes walk from the old town.

The staff were extremely helpful.

Free wifi was available in the restaurant, bar and pool area.

The restaurant serves good food, but is a bit pricey.

The pool was small.
