One of the best beaches we stayed at good for swimming too. We came by sea from Sipalay but you can get a Tricycle to the river and hire a small boat. When we made inquiries about the cost at the small Village about returning that way the young man gave a lot of thought to a question that he hears several times a day, then quoted something ridiculous. We returned by boat to Sipalay and only waited a short time before catching the bus to Bacolod and then the Ferry to Iloilo City

“Sandy bottom, clear and clean”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

This lovely wide beach is about 700 to 800 metres long (at least) and has about 10 small 'resorts' along it: Takatuka is at the river end while Sulu Sunset is fairly close to the cliff end.

The sand is a very light golden brown, quite attractive but not white sand.

The beach was extremely clean. The water is idyllic with the sandy bottom far out to sea being attractive to children, although I only saw local children playing by the cliff.

The beach was almost deserted despite the beautiful March 2013 weather: two hours of rain in four days.

You can lunch at one 'resort' and have dinner at another if you choose.

It's laid back; many visitors are German, a few French or Swiss with a smattering of English and Australians.

relaxed vibe: worth the five hour Ceres P183 good value non airconditioned bus trip from Bacolod.
