The hot spring bath in the hotel was good, and the room for 3 adults were really nice, clean and quiet. However, the staff were not very friendly. Whatever you asked them, they were impatient and not helpful. The access is also not very good. It is basically impossible to get to the hotel without a car.
There are nothing but forest around this hotel. You may take a 1.1km walk to the main street.
Moreover, We were told the time for dinner was set in 2 sections. But when we went to the restaurant on time, no one is checking anything there!! The whole restaurant was a mess. Dishes and glasses used already were scattered here and there on tables.
Maybe it is because it charged only about ￥10,000 per person per night during a long weekend. The breakfast and dinner were really terrible. Although both breakfast and dinner were served in all-you-can-eat buffet, there were really nothing good to taste. Cheap and artificial drinks/soup, cold fried food, frozen sashimi… I swear the food in any convenience store is much better. It was the worst food I have ever had in a Japanese "Ryokan."
If you can ignore the bad quality food, the hotel is not a bad choice considering its price, room and good hot spring.More
